Mom is so proud of me! I was a Very Good Boy at the vet. I weighed #19.1. I didn't have a temperature when they beeped my bum. I let the vet tech look at my leg bump. I let the vet listen to my heart. I let the vet put yellow liquid stuff on my bump. I even let the vet poke a needle in the bump to aspirate it.
I have to go back to the vet on Tuesday for them to remove the bump. Mom wants to find out what it is. It could be nothing. We could just watch it to see if it gets any bigger. Mom wants if off of me. They will send the bump away to be tested for, you know.
But don't worry about me Pals! I feel fine! I run and jump and play and bark and all the normal stuff a healthy dog does.

And I think it is my turn to head to the vet. The groomer found a bump on my left leg, about where our dew claws are or would be if we had them. I didn't want her to mess with it.
Mom is calling the vet right now to get me checked out.

Oh, what a great day! After the family had opened their gifts, Mom brought out a large sack of doggie toys. Brother had even shopped for us out in California.
Let's just say, what with the toys Jelly, Zaidie and Mickey sent and the toys from today, we need a new toy basket to hold everything. Bol
There is a wonderful plaid bear. I like the way the fabric feels in my mouth. And the giant octopus sure is fun. All of the toys are great.
Of course, Zoe immediately went into resource guarding mode, but the family made sure we each had a toy to play with.
I love Big toys! I don't know why, but I love the challenge of grabbing a toy and playing the indoor keep-away game. The toy may drag on the floor. Parts of the toy may cover my eyes or nose. But the bigger the toy, the more fun!
I hope your Christmas was as wonderful as mine.

Don't get me wrong. I love my life. I have everything I need and then some. Mom plays my indoor keep-away game with me. We play it everyday.
But today something wonderful happened. Our human Brother walked through the back gate, into the yard and into the house. You might remember he went away about seven months ago. He joined the Air Force and went to basic training. Now he is learning his job for the Air Force and he is in Monterey California while he attends classes. But today he is home for the Christmas holiday season.
It was wonderful to see him walk into the yard. Of course, Zoe thought she was the only dog and hogged the time greeting him. After we all came into the house and things started to settle down, I grabbed my blue Puff Dragon toy. Just like old times, Brother started to "chase" me around and around for a game of indoor keep-away. There is no running or barking involved. We just quietly go around through the living room, the kitchen and the dining area. We keep going around like that. When I sit down, still with Puff Dragon in my mouth, Brother knows the game is over.
It is our routine. I am a creature of habit. I just know we will play my indoor keep-away game again.

This has been a wonderful day! I got more attention than Zoe!
Thank you all for sending pressies to my page. Thank you for noticing my diary pick today.
And I promise to try to bark more. Just don't let Zoe hear anything about that.

I have a diary pick today! Thank you to all my pals who have sent nice gifts and rosettes to my page. It sure spruces up the place.
I hadn't written for a couple of months. That Zoe hogs most of the typist's computer time. Maybe I need to be more assertive. I am with Tux. I keep him in his place. But that Zoe, she is the little queen around here. Well, that is what she says anyway.
I will try to bark more often.

It was an early Christmas this morning. We got a whole box of goodies from Zaidie. All of us pets got new toys. Wonderful toys. Even Mom and Sister got some gifts. That Zaidie is a very generous pup.
He sent me my very own package. Inside was a brown beaver. Mom and I have named him Mr. Beaver. My family are fans of the Narnia books/movies. Mr. Beaver was a very helpful fellow in the first book.
Of course, the toys did get mixed up. I got to play with a tug toy of Tux's. I even played with the birdhouse and birdies that had Zoe's name in the package. Zoe played with all of our toys too. Of course, she even wanted the cat toys. But they went downstairs and we can't get downstairs unless someone moves the gate at the top of the stairs.
Heehee. Mom tossed the brand new red Jolly ball for me. I love to run around the yard with a Jolly ball in my mouth. It was raining so we didn't play chase. That is what I like to play with Jolly balls. Maybe when it stops raining Sister will come outside and chase me with the new red Jolly ball. In the meantime, I can play with Mr. Beaver.

Mom is not here. I hope she gets home soon. I have been sleeping on Sister's moon chair in her room instead of my bed in Mom's room.
I miss Mom.

Our old kitchen stove had an annoying Buzzing sound when the timer was set. It didn't make any noise at all when the temperature for the oven was set. A simple turn of a knob would do it.
Most of you know I don't like like certain sounds. They send me quivering under a chair or table.
The new stove beeps. I don't like the beeping. It beeps to set the timer. Thank goodness we have another timer to use. That timer beeps too but I seem to be used to it. Our new stove beeps to set the oven temperature. It bothers me. I am quivering under Mom's desk right now. No, the stove isn't beeping. It will take me a while to recover from the Chicken Parmesan Sister put into the oven.
Thankfully Mom doesn't bake bread anymore now that it's only a couple of people here.

This is rather embarrassing. Mom and I don't remember it Ever happening to me before but I threw up in my bed last night. Mom turned on the light and saw me sitting there. I looked embarrassed and apologetic.
Of course, Mom wasn't mad at me. She let me outside and cleaned off my bed. Chunky, dog cookie parts, some grass, tan in color.
I came back in and found that she had gotten me a nice blanket to sleep on and then she covered me up with my blankie. I was fine the rest of the night.
I am fine this morning too. My breakfast was delicious. I am playing and feeling fine. My bed has been "spot" washed and is hanging on the line outside to dry and air.
I have no idea why I was ill but I am sure glad it wasn't too much trouble for Mom to clean up. I may even get a shower today.
I love Mom. She's the best.
