Sometimes I throw up. I seem fine. I am perky. I do my bathroom jobs outside without any problems. But sometimes I throw up.
It is always just a little bit of throw up, no food, just whitish or yellowish liquid stuff. It usually happens during the early morning hours.
I wonder if I am just hungry? But why would I throw up?
Mom hasn't taken me to the vet about it. I am kind of random about my throwing up. Nothing on a regular schedule.
Do any of you smart pups have ideas about why I throw up?
I apologize for this graphic entry. I hope I didn't make any of you want to throw up reading about my throwing up.
I do this a lot, too, Drover! My Momma called the vet and we went and the vet said I might have a little bit of acid indigestion (this was before I had to eat a special diet) and I could eat some Rolaids. Momma never gave me the Rolaids, though. The vet lady also said that I was prolly hungry and combined with the acid it made me barfy. After I'd barf Momma would give me a Milkbone and then I'd be fine!
Fizzy! You may be on to something here. I only throw up before breakfast. Mom figured I was hungry but the acid indigestion makes sense. Thanks for the insight!
Drover, momma had a doxie and had to be fed twice a day. She would throw up dat stuff if she didn't have her breakfast early and then right before bedtime, mom would give her a biscuit so her tummy wouldn't be empty.
It is likely an upset tummy from not eating. You should eat something just before you go to bed and make sure you eat breakfast as soon as you get up. Like Sophie Claire barked some pups have to eat twice a day. Do you eat once or twice? If you only eat once per day then divide your meal into two and eat breakfast and supper. Then have a snack before you go to bed. Yummy!
Very weird! I did that exact thing this morning, Drover!
hey Drover that happens to me too; not usually anything serious, just an empty tummy, try a small snack at bedtime, that works for me most of the time.
I used to throw up bile- yellow- whitish stuff- when my tummy got too empty... Mom would give me a snack before bedtime and that solved my tummy trouble. I also got two meals a day, yum.
Anytime we can solve tummy trouble with snacks, it's a good thing!
Good luck, Drover.
Ms. Pie, giving advice from the Bridge
I used to do that, too. Mom always free fed me until Annie came along, and Annie would eat as much as you gave her as often as you gave it, plus mine, too. The vet said feed me twice a day instead of once. It worked. (You're welcome, Rocke and Raoudi - I know you can''t imagine eating just once.)
I do that too Drover...glad I read your Diary and the helpful advice you got!!
