 Gotcha Date: July 26th 2005
 Birthday: July 26th 2003
Likes: I love to play, play, play! I like cuddling being a kissy-face, being petted, and playing, especially my cool game called Keep Away!

Pet-Peeves: Being alone, people hugging each other

Favorite Toy: Glow-in-the-dark ball, Jolly balls, tennis balls, squeakie toys, plush toys...actually any toy!

Favorite Food: Castor & Polluz! YUM! It's got bits of dried bananas, apples, and it's very nutritious too! I also like popcorn and dog cookies

Favorite Walk: The riverbottom

Best Tricks: Standing on my back legs, asking (demanding) that someone throw the ball.

Arrival Story: My friend and me were living with our owner when she got sick and had to go away for treatment. Another lady came to make sure we had food and water, but we were left alone quite a bit. We escaped from our yard and wound up in jail. The lady who was taking care of us came and paid our bail. She and our owner thought it would be best if we went to a different home where people could take good care of us. A rescue lady named Marti took care of us for a day and a night. She took us to the vet and the groomers, then I went with another rescue lady named Mary Ann (whom we got Cindy from). We went for a car ride and I wound up with a different family! It was a confusing couple of days, but now I have a loving home and family.

Bio: My name used to be Salty, but when my new family got me they were having a terrible time remembering my name. So they renamed me Drover. The family keeps talking about Hank the Cowdog and laughing-I don't get it. I guess the name change is official because they got me a new name tag! I have a little mini Schnauzer sister, named Zoe, who always wants to play with me. Sometimes I kinda miss the old home, but I love living here. There are a bunch of cats here. I get hollered at if I chase them. Hey, if they run, they are fair game, right? Most of all, I love and adore the one who stole my heart, my wonderful Mom.

Greetings and salutations! I realize I don't bark very often, Zoe takes up all of Mom's computer time.
But I must let you know of the new game I invented.
Some of you might remember that when outside I like to grab a Jolly ball and have a person chase me around our raised beds. That is where the folks grow strawberries, asparagus and tomatoes. This summer, in order to keep a certain little Schnauzer out of the strawberry bed, Pop put a fence around the whole place. No more keep-away game around the beds anymore. I still enjoy being chased around the yard while carrying a Jolly ball.
Last evening, Pop was chasing me. I was getting a bit tired and so was Pop.
I found a new place for a mini keep-away game.
At the corner of our patio area Mom has a small solar fountain flanked by two green planters.
It is just the right size for a couple of tired guys to play keep-away.
The folks laughed as I led Pop around a few times but I could tell they were impressed with my problem solving skills.

Actually, Mom should mark it as my Gotcha Day, that is more the truth. We don't really know when my birthday is. I am adopted, you see. Bol!
Wow, you Pals have been sending all kinds of wonderful gifts and messages my way. And I don't have to share with Zoe! It is probably hurting her little head trying to figure out a way to take those gifts away from me.
Oh well, she will just have to live with it.
I don't know what is in store for the day. Maybe we will get some home made Frosty Paws.
Thank you Pals for helping me celebrate my day.
