Pet-Peeves:
Bathtime! Thunder and lightning. When someone else sleeps in one of his dogbeds. When Mamma says "get in your bed" after Mack has hogged the big bed a little too much.

Favorite Toy:
it varies every week- he has so many that they get lost and rediscovered. This week he loves to carry around his 3 foot long orange snake with the squeaky head.

Favorite Food:
beef and cheese- in any combination

Favorite Walk:
At Nana & Pop's house- even walking around the block is fun!

Best Tricks:
With his severe hip displaysia- diagnosed at 8 months- him running around and being the world's sweetest dog is the best trick of all!

Arrival Story:
I got Mack on Halloween of 2003. He was a rescued dog, and had never been indoors, in a car, worn a collar, or walked on a leash, at 4 months of age. he adapted quickly, although he can still sometimes be a little shy in new situations.

Bio:
Mack has had two FHOS (femoral head ostomies) which is an alternative to full hip replacement. The cost is about the same, but the recovery time is much shorter. Mack's surgeries were performed at the Vet teaching Hospital at Michigan State in 2004. Mack received wonderful care and TLC and with some physical therapy (he and I on the floor working his legs), he is now a very active, happy dog. With his hip issues, we're supposed to be watching his weight, but he does love cheese, so he's a healthy 120 pounds.
