Our family was checking out a local farmers market on vacation one summer, when we came across a kiosk with photos of many dogs and pups. We asked what it was all about and learned that they were from Paws and Claws Animal Rescue. They told us that two of their available pups were coming by later, and we knew we would wait around to have a visit. We toured around the rest of the market, coming across a man selling tiny tiny pups for hundreds of dollars out of recycling bins. He told us that more pups were coming in later and he would give us a "special deal" if we bought two. Disgusted, we walked away and headed back to the rescue.

Once we returned we saw that they pups were there. In the pen was a gold puppy, and a black pup with gold eyebrows. Both pups were extremely scared and shy, but both were adorable. We picked up and cuddled both pups, and gently encouraged them to play. The black Puppy finally got playful and jumped around just a little bit. We fell in love. My dad was unconvinced, he wondered if this shy puppy was active enough for our family, but we eventually talked him into it. We payed the adopting fee, and brought the little pup home!

Buddy has turned out to be the most active of all the dogs we have ever owned! We had no idea when we brought home the shy relaxed puppy that we would get a dog with endless energy that just wants to go go go all day! Buddy is an amazing dog and adopting him was the best decision we could have made.

Never read this before- what a perfect story of adoption. Glad you got a best Buddy and he got a perfect forever home.
