Bio:
My name is Binkey and I am a six year old Cocker Spaniel mix. I helped save my owners when they were attacked two years ago. I bit the bad man's ankles as hard as I could, even though I am very small. Both my masters were taken away in an ambulance, and I survived a whole week without them. I even took care of my kitty, Tootie. My best friend Miss Z ran away and got lost, but I found my way back in the house and hid until the policemen left. When my family came home, I was so happy to see them. I had barked so much my voice was almost gone. When I saw my mommy again, I gave her a million kisses then raced into the other room. I brought her back the half of graham cracker I had saved for food. Everybody said that I was very brave. They even called me a hero. Later that week some people found my friend Miss Zen and brought her home to us. I was so happy to see her. We gave each other lots of kissies and played ball together. I do a good job protecting my family. I love to sleep on my Lizzie's lap, and I made sure to give Momma lots of kisses and cheer her up when she got sick. And that's what happened last year. Momma got a bad bump in her chest, and they said it was cancer. I don't know what that means, but Mom would get so sick all she could do was lay down all the time. But I did a good job helping her. I would lay on her feet to keep her warm, and when she would get sad, I would crawl around on my head to make her laugh. Lizzie even taught me how to bring slippers to her sometimes. It takes me two trips because I'm very small. Momma's getting better now, but we found out something scary. There's a bad bump growing in my chest now, too. It started out small and we thought it would go away. But now the bump is getting closer to my tummy. Everyone is sad because they think I'm sick now, too. My Mom and my Liz don't have any money now a days. Momma still can't work, and we have to take charity to pay for our food. I'm the only family they have, and I don't want to be sick anymore. If my Mommy can get better, I know I can too. I just need the money to see the doctor and get my medicines. Please help me. I know I'm just a little dog, but I'm all my family has. I don't want to die. I want to get better and play with my toys again. My favorite is my squeaky squirrel. I know they can make me better if I get to go to the doctor. Please save me.
