Attention, Peanut Butter, His Pal Paddy

Being left behind, any of the cats going near his toys or his bones.. And now it seems he is annoyed if the cats attempt to sleep in their cat tent. He will whine until they get tired of the sound and leave.

Favorite Toy:
A Nissan Xterra - He is highly insulted and mopes all day if he doesn't go for a ride at least once each day.

Favorite Food:
Anything forbidden.

Favorite Walk:
He loves to stroll his property. He is often found running through the meadow in the early mornings.

Best Tricks:
The "Lightning Fast Dash", or "Making Eyes". Capote is also great @ "Yes, I ate that"!

Arrival Story:
An email was sent out at my job from a co-worker who needed to find a home for one of her dogs. I fwed it along to see if I could bring home the sad looking pooch who was going to end up back @ the pound if no one took him. Capote is a wee bit bigger than he looked in the first picture we saw. We thought he was a medium sized dog, but it doesn't really matter now that he's already here. We're not quite sure of Capote's true history or breed but we do know that he was a stray at one point and has been in the pound. People say Rottweiler, others say Lab, we've heard Boxer, and of course Pit Bull. We've decided that he's a multigenerational Mutt and that's that! Maybe Domestic Short Hair Dog? BOL!

** Update** Capote tested positive for Lyme Disease this week. He has not had a tick on him since we first got him and he was tested the 1st vet visit he had after we adopted him. We are worried that he may have had this for a while and are hoping there are no longlasting effects. ** Capote has become quite the talker! He's beginning to give his opinion about quite a few things... Not a barker, though. He likes to grunt, huff, whine loudly and make strange noises that are kind of impossible to describe. Capote and Paddy are becoming very close pals: Paddy likes to follow us in the field when we take the morning stroll and is always kind of around when Capote is outside. One day when we had a turtle visit the yard Capote was actually scared of it and wouldn't get close until Paddy walked right up to it. When the Vet came to see Capote in her Mobile Clinic Paddy had to check up on Capote! He walked right up the stairs to see what was going on, but as soon as he saw the needles he hightailed it right out of there!
