 Quick Bio:
Likes: Max loved snacks, walks, sleeping, and pooping

Pet-Peeves: Never liked it when Dave hopped on his butt, hated to have his paws touched, especially if the nail clipper was involved.

Favorite Toy: Squeeking AFLAC Duck

Favorite Food: Crispy Fish Skin

Favorite Walk: Up to McLaren Park

Arrival Story: My partner got Max in 1988 as a tiny 8-week-old puppy in Jackson, WY. They moved to San Francisco a couple of years later. And in 1996 we somehow made a family, Fun-daddy, Poop-daddy, Max and Dave.

Bio: Max couldn't hear any more, and he had trouble with the stairs, but otherwise, he was pretty spry for a Lab his age. Up until about April 15, 2004. He took a steep downturn. He stopped eating. He could hardly get up any more at all. When it became clear he was ready to go, we took him to the vet on Monday evening, April 19, 12 days shy of his 16th birthday, and rubbed his ears (his favorite spot) till the end. We hope there's a dog heaven, and it looks just like Fort Funston Beach. Good night, sweet Max.
