Arrival Story:
My friend is a breeder with a store in Sherwood Park called Puppy Tales. I went in her store and told her how my previous puppy had died a few days ago, and I was very lonely and was "just looking". She let ALL the puppies out of thier kennels and I sat on the floor of the store surrounded by about 15 adorable, irresistable puppies of all breeds. I was checking out a little male when his sister crawled up into my lap, into my coat and curled up there. She kinda just make camp in my coat, so I couldnt leave without her. Then it took me 2 days to name her...she started out as Lola...then Penny, then a couple of others...she responded to Billie and that's how she got her name. We have been inseperable ever since!

So Mommy tried on my Halloween costume last night. It fit perfectly last year I don't know what happened but...Im TOO BIG! I guess that's all the turkey and lunchmeat and popcorn, and chippies and other tasty little morsels I get from Gramma and Grampa. Now Mom keeps calling me "Chubby Puppy" and telling me that I have to go on a diet! So what if you can't feel my ribs!
Oh well - I guess that means that i get a new costume this year!!

Mommy & me are doing the 2.5 KM walk for Pets in the Park in support of the Edmonton SPCA. Im pretty excited, i hope mommy can make it the whole way! 2.5 KM is a long ways! Mom and I went to the Elk Island National Park and we hiked like 5 KM. I kept up the whole way! The park says I had to be on a leash the whole time but it kept getting caught in the branches n' stuff, so mom took it off and I followed her the whole way. We seen like a thousand different birds, some beavers, coyotes, bison, a moose (scared the poop right outta me!) and then there was some deer hanging around our car in the parking lot and I ran up to them to say hi but they all scattered into the brush. Oh well maybe we will make friends next time. Check out the pics! Im very excited about this weekend, Saturday is my friend's b-day party and Sunday we are going on a small road trip to visit mommy's grandma. There's tons of room to run around and then I can have a nap on the way home. Yay. And I always seem to get people treats like chips n dip and bits of burgers at BBQ's like that. Bye for now!!
