Birthday: January 1st 2002 Arrival Story: We adopted Amos from a local rescue (uaaf.org). He was found abandoned in a trailer in New Mexico with 30 other Chihuahuas. No food. No water. Several dead dogs. He had never been around people. Before we adopted him, he spent a year with foster moms who nursed him through a recovery from heartworm. Bio: Amos is still a bit skittish around people, but he's made some serious progress. He walks on leash and is a great little hiker. He curls up with us on the bed and couch but still doesn't really like to be petted or held.
