We went to the pound looking for a playmate for Buddy. We brought out countless dogs for Buddy to meet, but he only responded to Sandy. Just as we were going in to do up the paperwork, a woman who had just seen Sandy the day before was coming back to adopt her. Although she wanted Sandy for herself, she was glad that she was going to a good home with such a great dog-friend.

Sandy is the uber-barn dog! She loves to go to work, keeping horses and people alike in line. Everyone loves her.

UPDATE:
Sadly, I've been told that I have serious allergies to dogs, and apparently find it worse with Shepherds. :( Thus, Sandy is no longer living with us, but has been "adopted" by the owner of the barn where I work. I get to see her everyday, and she's extra happy!
