Sad Day

Yesterday I had an accident. Mom came to the door and told me we were going byebye. Boy, I love it when I get to go on car rides! So we went for a while and when we came back mom was trying to get me out of the van. Well, some kids rode by on their bikes, and I loooove kids. I RAN over to say hi. I was so excited I forgot to look both ways before I crossed the street. I didn't even know somebody was coming. She hit me with her car. It scared mom because she didn't know I was okay. All my kids came running out of the house because I screamed so loud. The car stopped right on top of my back foot, and I couldn't get it out. So when the person realized her tire was on my foot she backed up. The skin got tore off and you could see a little of the bone it my foot, my nail also got ripped off. It hurt real bad and I cried a lot. So i wobbled back to mom, because it hurt to walk the right way. Mom put me in my bed and left for a while. When she came back she had some medicine and some bandages. She put antibiotic cream on my foot and wrapped it up real good for me. She also gave me medicine in a hotdog to make the pain better.

This morning mom took the bandages off and let me take care of my wound the way I know how. It feels a little better, and I can walk on it. It just hurts to run and jump. I'm lucky the lady in the car put her brakes on as hard as she did, because if she didn't I wouldn't be alive right now. I am so happy I am okay. I am a lucky dog. Mom didn't yell at me, but she said I better not run from her when she's trying to get me out of the van. It's really dangerous, and something even more horrible could happen to me. Neither of us would want that. Mom knows best. Me and all my family are so glad I am okay. They were all soo worried for me. They have been giving me extra treats because my foot hurts = ) They said it will get better soon. I think it will too.

Puppies.

So, on July 17th, 2006 I had my first litter. Four puppies. Their names are (from oldest to youngest) Kilo, Princess, Kizzy, and Duder. They are mixed with me and a golden lab, and they are absolutely beautiful.

When I gave birth to my first puppy, Kilo, I was kind of scared. My mom and dad weren't with me. I was in the bedroom all alone. I gave birth to him and I wasn't sure what happened, so I moved to the other side of the room. When one of my kids, Mayci, came downstairs to check on me, she saw the puddle of blood. So she yelled for my dad and said I was bleeding. So dad and mom came downstairs to look at me, and they heard Kilo whining. They found him and brought him to me and told me everything would be alright. Then, when I gave birth to Princess and Kizzy, things were better because mom and dad and three of my kids, Colin, Courtny, and Mayci were with me. But after I had the first three, mom and dad thought I was done. They didn't know that there was still another puppy in there. Courtny was laying by me and petting me when she heard me whining. She called for mom and dad again, and then came Duder. Now my puppies are almost two weeks old, and they are soo cute! Because of the fact that I am a very active and playful dog, I am still getting used to the fact of having puppies to take care of. I'm learning how to take care of them too. I guess you could call me a mom-in-training.
