I let mom know by putting my head on her chest and giving her my paw a dozen times that I knew everyone tried their best to save me, but I needed to go to the Rainbow bridge to join Juno" [See My DogsterPlus Photo Book] |

 Quick Bio:
 Bio: We found "Butterscotch" AKA Chopper during a Dust Storm on April 14, 2006 here in Phoenix.
He was wandering around our neighborhood with a Lab/Mix and a Jack Russell Terrier/Mix, who we were able reunite these two with their owner, however, nobody claimed "Butterscotch" AKA Chopper.
We took him to the County Shelter with hopes that someone would claim him, as he had a collar on but no tags. I had a rescue associate keep an eye on him, and she informed me that he was put on the E-LIST (To be PTS) due to Kennel Cough.
I made some calls, because we decided he was too friendly to be PTS, and decided to pull him from the shelter and bring him to a Vet for Isolation for Kennel Cough. He went to the vet on April 26, 06.
Once he "was' better, he was to go to a rescue in southern AZ.
That never happened, he tested Positive for Parvo, and we decided to try to save him, after two weeks, he showed signs of slow improvement, but began not eatting again, so the Vet tested him for Distemper, which came back positive.
We talked it over and the vet said he had a 50/50 chance of beating the distemper.
On May 20th, "Butterscotch" AKA Chopper started having siezures from the Distemper, and we had to let him go.
He touched our hearts in a very short period, and it is unfortunate that whoever owned him did not properly care for him and give him the necessary shots that could have saved him from the time he was a puppy till we found him.

My dear Sweet Chopper;
We hope you knew how much we loved you and we tried so hard to do what was best for you, and try to see if your original owner would claim you during your time at the county shelter.
We blame ourselves that we might have caused your illness by trying to do right by you and bringing you to that shelter in the first place! We just will never know...
We tried to save you no matter what the cost, because we felt you deserved and were worth all the expense in order to try to save you and make you better to come home and live out your life with us.
We miss you every day!
Love Mom and Dad
Dear Mom and Dad;
I didn't know what real love was until I stumbled through that Dust storm into your lives.
I know that you did the best you could for me during my short stay with you.
You went above and beyond what an average human would have done for a "stray", and gave me all the medical treatment and tests I needed, no matter what the expense to try to beat the Parvo, and that dreaded distemper.
I couldn't have asked for a better Mom and Dad, and I wait for you at the Rainbow Bridge with my new big sister, Juno, and big brother, Cane.
Until we meet again....
all my love, your precious sweet Pittie
