Making Mommy smile even when she is sad
Arrival Story:
My dearly departed "sister", Chloe, was diagnosed with a bad sickness when she was only 8. Mommy was soooo sad. Then Grammy said that if Mommy bought a puppy, she and Grandpa would raise it until it was old enough to move to the big city. Daddy wanted another SC Wheaten, but Mommy said "no!" Mommy says that SCWT are wonderful, but that they have too many health problems. So Mommy and Daddy did some research and found out about us Lowchen! Then they drove from Chicago to outside of St. Paul, Minn. and adopted me! They also took Daisy, who isn't my biological sister, to give to Grammy and Grandpa to adopt. Then the five of us (Chloe too!) drove back to Chicago. Then to Grammy and Grandpa's in Cleveland. And to make a long story short, I had 2 1/2 wonderful years with Chloe. Mommy, Daddy, and I all miss her a lot, but we have each other, so we are okay, just like Grammy said we would be! And now I have more energy to concentrate on my dogfriends in the neighborhood, so at least that is a silver lining!
P.S. At first after Chloe went to heaven, I did really, really well. No one could believe it! But then I decided that I was too lonely being an only dog, even though I wasn't alone much. So even though Mommy and Daddy had only wanted one dog, but had gotten me because Chloe was sick, they said okay, I could have a dog of my own! And Grammy and Grandpa offered (one last time, they said), to raise another puppy for Mommy and Daddy. Her name is Ellie--check her out! She is still at the grandparents, but we are about to get her!
