Birthday: June 30th 2005 Likes: Wrasslin' pittie-style with Georgia Girl, playing tug games, playing "catch-me-if-you-can" with toys in her mouth, chewing the fuzz off of tennis balls, and getting the cats to chase her around the house. Pet-Peeves: Unfriendly dogs who bark and growl at her for no reason that she can understand. Favorite Toy: Her rubber "indestructible" tug rings and her Kong toys stuffed with treats and peanut butter. Favorite Food: She's the queen of peanut butter!! Favorite Walk: The park around the corner that has a dog-friendly nature trail and Petsmart and Petland, where she gets lots of petting and love from everyone. Best Tricks: Patty-cake and looking adorable. Arrival Story: She was a "Free to good home" puppy that came from a nice couple who were clients at the vet clinic I worked for in Hawaii. Her and her littermates' photo was placed on the bulletin board in the clinic's waiting room. I thought to myself, I don't need another dog, especially a PIT BULL!!!! But her cute little face called to me every time I passed the flyer. I researched American Pit Bull Terriers on the internet, found out about their personalities and the hype behind their bad rep. I told myself I was ready for the challenge and the commitment it took to be a responsible owner. I finally convinced my hubby that I just wanted to "go and look" at the pups. With that look of "yeah right" on his face, he took me to go see them. I picked up each pup and watched them play together, and one little girl stuck out. She was the most out-going, curious and friendly, with lots of personality. That was it! We took her with us to the Walmart to get her some food, a collar, bowls, toys and other puppy essentials. She was 7 weeks old when we got her, and she turned 1 year last month. She has been a joy to me every day. She is a shining example of what a well-socialized Pit Bull can be, and she always makes me proud when I take her out in public and people compliment her on her wonderful personality and spirit. She now lives in our house, peacefully, with our 7 year old Cocker Spaniel Bailey, our other female Pit Bull Georgia and 2 cats. I may be biased... but I thinks she's the best dog ever! Bio: Just so you know how much of a Sci-Fi nerd her owner is... she is not named after the famous coffee house chain... she is named after the character from Battlestar Galactica! Geeky huh? Hee Hee.

Momma is so proud of me. I am a regular blood donor doggie at the clinic now. So far my blood and my bravery has saved 3 other doggies' lives... a tiny anemic Pit-mix pup named "Milk Dud", a senior-citizen Cocker Spaniel named "Maggie" and a Yellow Labbie pup who had to have emergency gastro-intestinal surgery. I am at the clinic a lot for my yucky Demodex dips and sometimes just for doggie day care 'cause Momma has to work all day... and when a doggie needs blood to save them I am the bravest I can be and sit so nicely to get my blood drawn. I don't wiggle or complain and even though I can't volunteer to do it myself, I would if I could because Momma gives me lots of extra lovin', praise and treats when I get through! She's so so proud of me and brags to everyone how good I am. I hold my Pittie head a little higher now knowing that I'm beating the "Bad Pit Bull" stereotype in one more way these days!
Hug me tighter.... I'm a super dog! (Momma thinks so anyway!)
