Well, as most of you know the Southwest has been hit with the same heat wave that the rest of the country has been experiencing!
Last night at dinner time, Mom, had a cow!! She was outside picking up our mess and all of a sudden.....WHISHHH.....splash splash....
Well, of course, I got up from rolling around on my back to scratch those hard to scratch places to investigate what was going on, cuz she was running around like a chicken and screeching on that little black thing that rings all the time!!!
Sure enough, out by the pool I followed her to check out what all the fuss was about.....
As far as I can gather, the big box on the roof of the BIG DOG house that we all live in, and it was leaking, and that's what had her in a tizzy and screeching like a hawk!!! Course I'm looking at Diesel and Buck and wondering what's got her all worked up??? It's just a little water, right?
Of course its too hot to stay outside for any length of time, so we get ushered into the house as always..... I can't stand the summers out here, cuz we're not allowed to stay outside too long!
Well, I'm laying on the couch that is now folded out into a bed, which is way cool, cuz I get to totally stretch out and enjoy that big box with the pictures.
I sit up and notice, JEE , its not as cool in the "DOG HOUSE" as it usually is....
SO, I get up to go figure out why Mom is standing in the hallway still screeching up a storm on that little black thing that she talks into all the time, and once and awhile I hear Dad's voice on the other end.
Yup, I figured it out that thing on the roof that has her so upset isn't working, and the house was getting hotter by the minute!!!
So, we are all sitting on the big bed now, trying to stay cool with the fans, and trying to get some sleep while the temp is rising in the house.
We got up this morning and did the normal things, except this time, we got to go for a ride with her instead of going to our crates!!!
Boy, oh BOY, we're going to the Park!!!!!
But wait a minute! It's not Saturday or Sunday....??? Where is she taking us!?
We arrived at the grooming place that Piglet was adopted came from, and spent the day at Doggie Day care so we could have some A/C and stay cool!
What a cool Mom we have!
Woof Woof and high five Paws for Mom, and Renee and Kara for taking care of us today!
Good news is The big box on the DOG HOUSE got fixed by the time she came to get us, and the BAD NEWs is...... I'm definately a big baby, and don't like being away from my big dog house!!!
I had seperation anxiety all day, even though the owners of the shop took extra, extra special are of us, cuz Mom and Dad, adopted Piglet from them, I couldn't wait till Mom came and picked us up and brought us back to OUR big Dog HOUSE.
I'm crashing for the night, cuz I didn't get to sleep today!!!!

I figured I'd better pipe up as I'm the oldest now, since my sister Juno has gone the Rainbow Bridge this last Christmas Eve.
I was bought back in September 2002 after Mom and Dad had to let go of Mom's Great Dane, Cane, in May of 2002.
They were lonely and missing big Cane, the Dane, and thought Juno might enjoy some company as both mom and dad work full time, but on different schedules so someone would always be home with a puppy, if and when they decided to get one.
I've been told that they looked from Massachusettes as far West as NY and as far south as CT, and up north as far as ME to adopt a Male Pit Bull puppy, but for some reason either the rescues did not respond to their applications or out and out refused them because they had big sister, Juno, who was an American Staffordshire Terrier. Some said "No, because they had 1/3 of an acre yet no fenced yard."
So, after spending months of trying to do the right thing and adopt from a rescue or a shelter, they finally gave up and bought me from a "breeder".
Well, of course, the day they went to look at me, I was a little rolly polly thing, and I waddled around the yard, while Mom and Dad talked to the guy and meet my "parent's".....
Well, supposedly my Dad (four legged one) was named "MENICE" and was definately 100% Pit Bull....But my mom (four legged one) was pretty skinny, and had a dark brindle coat, but no real distinct markings of a Pit Bull.
Now, of course, Mom and Dad fell in love with me, and really didn't care that both "four legged" parents didn't really look like a Pit Bull, and they decided that I was the one!
Well, from day one, let me tell you I did not like riding in that "thing" called a JEEP or any thing that my new mom and dad called a vehicle....
Boy, oh boy, did they find out quick that I was not into going for "rides" and enjoying sticking my head out the window!
OH NO...I spent the first twenty minutes making them pull over and try and get me out of the car before I promplty lost my breakfast all over the floor mats.
So, needless to say, riding in the car is not my favorite thing to do!
Now mind you I was 8 weeks old, and they figured as I got older I'd out grow this!
Well......a year and 1/2 later when we had to move I had to take medicine so I wouldn't get sick all the way out to Phoenix from Massachusetts!
So, I've had all the love and attention that I could possible get, but still don't understand why I can't cuddle like a lap dog on their shoulders and why I hear this weird noise when I plop down on them "OUFF"....
I really really want some love and affection and I really try hard to curl up and cuddle with them as much as possible, but I guess I'll have to admit that I'm 80 lbs of solid muscle and I can't cuddle like I'm an 8 week old pup any more.....
Jeez.... You'd think I was asking alot or something!?
Catch you later

P.S. I'm happy to report, that I can now at 4 years old safely go for rides in the vehicle with out getting sick!
