Finally Mommy logged me back on to Dogster! I guess sometimes things get busy, and she can't get on for a couple days, and then she gets out of the habit. But I won't let her do that anymore- I'm missing EVERYTHING!
Well, it's been a great summer for me.
At the beginning of the summer, a dog park opened near us! I'd never been to one, and me and Daddy went on the opening day. We went a bunch of times after that, too, but I can't go as much as I wish I could.
Also at the beginning of the summer, Mommy thought we were gonna get puppies from CCI, but that didn't work out in the end. Dang it! I have so much to pass on to the next generation.
In August, some family friends visited, and they brought a 7-or-so year old human kid with them. He's a little booger, but fun to play with!
Well, now both my big brothers are back at school, but it was fun for them to be home for so long!
I think I caught you up on everything- it feels so good to be back!

Hi everyone! My good bud Cowboy Valentine tagged me.
So I'll make five Valentine's Day wishes, then tag five more of my pals. The five of them will each do the same thing over again. Here goes!
(1) I wish every pup finds a warm place and a little treat this Valentine's Day.
(2) I wish for no pup to be lonely (especially me! heehee).
(3) I wish my humans would just let me get a little more of that coffee they leave out.
(4) I wish I had more real-life pup pals. =)
(5) I wish all my pals (and everyone else too) a very happy Valentine's Day!
And, -drumroll- here's who gets a little Lola tag:
-1- My Basenji boy, Talker.
-2- Good old, Jack.
-3- Cute little Kuki!
-4- My new friend Lucky.
and
-5- Pi for giving us Chase and to welcome him home (even though he's been here a while)!

Mommy and Daddy brought me to a howliday pawty for doggies on Saturday! It was so much fun. First we got our pictures taken by a professional photographer (I stayed real still and made my pawrents proud). More and more doggies came and I met lots of new pups. There was an Italian Greyhound who was really similar to me, Mommy said it was me in a different body! Then we had a Yankee Gift Swap. I'm not really sure what the idea behind that was- all the humans racing around and grabbing stuff from each other- but I ended up with two rawhide candy canes and a stuffed lobster to take home. Oh boy, fine eating. =) Then my Mommy won the raffle basket!! It was so big! 3 new collars, 2 new leashes, 16 new toys, 2 big bags of treats, 1 little tin of 'pupperoni', 2 photo frames, 1 calendar, 1 mug, 2 bandanas, and more. Woah. I sure was excited all day.
I slept really soundly all night (and most of the afternoon). Maybe I'll become a party pup. Maybe not. =)

Things sure have been, well, busy around here. This is the first weekend in a while that people have been home with me. =)
My visit with Kimba and Chloe went pretty well. Since it was only three days, their mommy didn't push us to be best friends. Mostly we stayed in seperate rooms, but we got used to each other. Mommy says I might be able to go back again. And plus, it was the home of that guinea pig... oh boy. That made it allll worth it. =D
Halloween was fun. I wore a clown costume and got four treats trick-or-treating and LOTS of attention. My sister says I'm a crowd pleaser. ;)

Yesterday Mommy brought me over to her friend's house. I love them- they always pay me lots of attention! I was having lots of fun, until suddenly two big dogs came bounding in! I was of course very nervous about them, even though they stopped being so excited over me after a while. I stayed there a while, then Mommy brought me home.
She says I'm going to stay there for two days this weekend. My family's going off somewhere, and I'm being pet-sat at their house on Sunday and Monday. Everybody hopes that all us dogs will get used to each other after a while.
I'll let you know how it turns out. ;)

P.S. These are the dogs I'm staying with:

And what is she doing here?
Today at noon, just as I was getting settled in for a nice midday nap, these people came into our house with bags and crates and a most intriguing smell. They put the big crate up on the table in the living room, and I saw a nose peeking out of it! My family said bye to the people and told them to have a nice vacation and they left the thing here when they went away!
My two-legged sister and brothers took this thing (which turned out to be some kind of animal they called 'guinea pig') and pet it and wouldn't let me meet it! After a long time of being held back or sitting in my kennel, I got to sit next to my sister while she held the guinea pig. I really only wanted to lick her, and did so many times. But after a while, she got put away again.
All I've done today is sit on the back of the couch that's closest to the table and whine. Mommy sure hopes I'll get used to our new little friend.

My family is heading down to West Virginia tomorrow on a mission trip to repair houses with their church. But there are no doggies allowed! So they told me I'm going to stay at our neighbors' house. Mommy says I leave tonight and I won't be on Dogster again until Sunday, August 5! :(
I'm a little nervous about this whole thing. Everyone's been packing lots of those suitcase things and pulling sleeping bags down from the attic. I've seen this happen before. And it's never good. :(
I wish I could take my pals from Dogster with me. =) But I'll see you guys in a week! *hugs*

Yay, I have been tagged once more, thanks to Miss Sophie P. Frecklebottom. But this time it's different. It's lurve tag. =)
When you are tagged, choose three of your wonderful doggie friends and tell why they're so wonderful!
It's super-hard to pick, but here are three deserving doggies in no particular order:
Jack: He's always been there for me, being the best friend a pup could ask for. (And because he looks dashing in that pink dress.) *huggles*
HoneyBunny: One of my first friends on the site and one of my favorite dogster pals. She's a really special dog. *huggles*
Spike: This big guy is a load of laughs! He always makes me crack a smile (especially in his barkini). *huggles*
You're it!

Okay, if you are tagged, this is what you have to do:
List seven things about yourself, pass it on to seven more doggies, and put the rules in your diary. Easy enough? Here are my seven things:
1. I think I was born in February of 2005.
2. I was abandoned and had puppies much to young.
3. I came home to a family of five in July of 2006.
4. I sleep in my youngest owner's bed. I like to take up the whole thing.
5. I don't like to take food from people I don't know.
6. I like to play with a toy whole-heartedly, but then suddenly stop and lay down.
7. When it's hot out, I will smile real big at you!

Well, just an update on the previous entry- turns out getting spayed wasn't so much fun. But I'm much better now (it /has/ been a while) except for a funny brown circle just around where I got surgery. Oh well.
I sure have been gone from Dogster a long time. But I'm back now and love it more than ever! My family is very proud of me because, after a looong time of training, I think I've finally get the hang of going to the bathroom outside. Not much else is new... I had a lovely Christmas (my family wonders if it was my first real Christmas) and I'll post new photos soon. I've been to my Grandma's twice. I love it there- a big backyard to run around in, dogs next door to bark at, a cat to play with (funny, she didn't seem to want to play with me), and tea frm Grandma's cup! Can't wait to go back...
Well, that's all for now!
