You might be wondering why I only dance to the tune of "Just Got Lucky". Well, when I was 2 1/2 months old, my older brother, Santi and I , were kept in Ma's room to be safe and secure. Heck, our eyes were just getting accustomed to the world!

For some reason, I discovered that the door had suddenly opened and I run so fast and felt myself go through this tiny open space between the stair banisters. Flew for a bit and fell on an area rug not far from where Ma was... on the 1st floor. Ma still couldn't see me cause she was talking to Uncle Frank on the phone. I didn't know how to cry for help and the thump was soundless but I felt it. I was in shock and had a seizure.

Good thing, Ma turned around and saw me shaking. I heard the most nervous and fearful cry for help. Ma was calling out to Granpa. I couldn't hear Grandma but I believe she froze. Grandpa picked me up and took me to the neighborhood vet. This was at 1am. While walking, Grandpa was cuddling and stroking me, telling me to hang on and everything would be alright. Those words helped soothe my nerves but I threw up on him and just lay on chest and closed my eyes.

When we got to the vet, he gave me an injection and checked my whole body. In a moment, I was on my feet. We went back home. Ma tucked me in, kissed me and thanked my guardian angel. I could never thank Granpa enough. He saved my life. More than that, the love that I felt from my whole family gave me the strength to live this life to the fullest every single day!

Just got lucky...
