Arrival Story:
I don't know where I started my life; all I know is that one parent was a Welsh Corgi and the other was a Border Collie. The first thing I remember is being thrown out of something into a ditch by the road and lying in the snow. I was little, and sick and terribly scared and I thought I was dying. A nice lady noticed me in the ditch and brought me some food, but I would not go to her, I was so scared. The next day she brought me some more food, then the next, and on the third day I decided to trust her and let her pick me up. She took me to a place called PAWS (Paragould Animal Welfare Society) and left me there with lots of people, dogs, cats and other animals. I finally warmed up , but I was still sick. All the ladies there took turns petting me and loving on me but I was still awfully shy. They took my picture to put me on PetFinder.com. Then one day a nice man and lady named Jeff and Linda showed up with two other dogs to meet me. (It was Jack and Shelby) Jeff and Linda picked me up and loved on me lots and the dogs ignored me. The next thing I knew I was in the car--it was a five hour ride--to their house and I had a forever home. I was still sick--I had to go to the vet twice--from lying in the snow and other problems, but I finally got better. The first few weeeks I was still nervous so I chewed a lot; 2 leashes, a flashlight, shoes, a blanket, other articles of clothing, but I hardly ever do that now except I like to tear the squeaker out of toys!
Now I have a wonderful forever home with my humans Jeff, Linda, and Aaron along with my doggie siblings. I love my home in the mountains so much. I have a porch, a pen, and my humans' house to run in. Winchester, Helen, and I play bite-face like mad sometimes. My moods go from just delirious with happiness to being quiet and shy. Sometimes I love to lie with my humans while they rub my belly. I love my ice cream each night at bedtime. I have the prettiest tail around and I like to show it off. I'm a lucky little guy!
Bio:
Winnie was our second dog that we located on PetFinder and got from a shelter. He is such a loving little guy. After he got over his nervous chewing at first, he is as close to a perfect dog as can be found.
