Wow, has it been that long since I wrote? I have been with my family now for nearly 2 years and I love them more and more and I know they love me, too. I know this because I sleep with them every night and they LONG AGO quit saying anything about it. Actually, I think they like having me there!! I have seen lots of dogs come and go--Ray, Muffy, Shiloh, Nick, Doc, Teddy, and Delilah. Each came and went--some I liked, some I didn't, but Shelby, Remington, and Winchester are still here. One of the neatest things is that I have learned to run up and down the spiral stairs. For a long time, my people tried to keep me off of them with a gate, but when they were gone I'd pull the gate down and go up anyway. Learning to come down was a lot harder!!
I've been camping a bunch of times and I love it. My people also got an outside cat, which I don't think I like, so everytime it comes near the porch, I smell it and start barking at it. I get my nose rapped for that!!!
Probably my favorite way to spend time is to lie on the couch beside mom or day, (actually ON them) and just snuggle and feel them against me. I know they love me and will always protect me. Now THAT'S LIVING!!

Halloween Tag

Here are the rules:
Each player needs to tell seven random facts about themselves. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their 7 facts. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Let them know by pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the instructions on how to play.
Here are my 7 facts:
1. I am blind and deaf
2. I have my house and yard memorized
3. I can go up and down the spiral stairs in my house.
4. I hate gates, fences, any obstruction.
5. I destroyed 6 panels of lattice on our front porch one night
6. I sleep with my mom and dad on my king sized bed.
7. I get scared when I am left alone for a long time, and sometimes I throw a tantrum!

I love all my pals and it's hard to choose but the the seven pups that I choose for this tag are: Holly, Merlin, Sully, Falkor, Nick, Purity, Sully RN, and Jack London ( know that's 8, but Jack sent this to me....)

A week of chaos!

Well, it was a stressful week for a girl that can't see or hear. My humans had all the flooring in the entire downstairs replaced. For 3 days, I was locked in the bedroom with my siblings, then one day in the bathroom! of all places. When the workers would leave each day, I was allowed out, but EVERYTHING was topsy-turvy! My regular routes were blocked with all kinds of obstacles that I continually ran into-my poor head is still sore from running into things that weren't supposed to be there.
Thank goodness, it's done. Everything is back to normal, except some of the carpet was replaced with wood flooring that's REALLY SLICK, ESPECIALLY WHEN I RUN! But it's also COOL to a hot-natured girl.
Now I can find my way around again and I can run and play with Winnie and Remmy.
Next time I hope they consult ME when they get ready to do something that disruptive!!

4 months and I'm lovin' it!

August 1 was 4 months in my forever home and it gets better all the time. The only time I don't like it is when my humans leave. I LOVE playing withJack, Shelby, Remington, and Winchester, with my toys, jumping on the bed, and being petted. For some reason some of the places that have adoptable Aussies like me think they should go to petless homes and be an only dog. I don't agree. I LOVE having dogs to play with. I would be sad if I were an only dog. They say I'm blind and deaf. I say "It doesn't matter".
Do your part--help save homeless dogs. That's why I'm still alive and in a wonderful forever home. Til next time, Helen
