Mama puts me in a little tub to bathe me now. I think I like it. I get out quicker. I still run around mad after a bath. I like being clean but I like running around mad too.

A Baby Oriole Flew Into the House!

Mama opened the screen door wide so me and kitty could run in and out of the house. We like playing and sleeping in the house and only go outside sometimes for not very long. Mama says we should blow the stink off once in a while.

Mama was watching her tv show when there was a bit of a commotion by the back door. She thought it was the cat. I went over there to check it out. It was a baby oriole!

He was really cute! He had big eyes and very short tail feathers. He was scared of me! Ma came over to see what I was doing. I was following that baby bird around!

Mama looked outside and the Birdy Daddy was flying around anxiously from tree to tree calling his baby.

Birdy Daddy knew his baby was in the house. Mama talked gently to the baby bird and shooed him out. He landed on the blooming clematis and then flew to the pear tree. He was just learning to fly.

Birdy Daddy seen his baby in little pear tree. Mama told me to come in the house. I did. We left them alone to reunite.

Mama hugged me and told me that I was a good girl because I never barked or growled at the baby. I followed him but that was it. I was so curious!

We have so many baby birds around the house. Mama ignores them so they won't be scared of her. Today we looked at the wren nest though.

Big Robin Wants Me to Chase Him

Redwing Blackbirds, Purple Finches, House Wrens, Little Yellow Birds, Cardinals and Bluejays and Baltimore Orioles. And Hummingbirds, that's what's around the house now.

This great big robin always wants me to chase him. He don't fly too far so I don't run too fast. A house wren family lives in one of our pear trees. They get mad and chatter really fast when I get too close to their nest. Their little gourd house moves because of the wren babies inside.

We seen a mama sparrow feed her big baby sparrow at the feeder. He stood there while she picked up seeds and put them in his mouth. He fluttered his wings really fast when he wanted another seed. The baby was almost as big as the mama.

We have bumblebees living here.

I like birds but I don't like bees. I run in the house if I see a bee.

I see a bee! Run!

Why Do I Always Wake Up Hugging the Cat?

Ma woke up late. I was still snoring. I woke up cuz she woke up. I couldn't believe it! I was hugging the cat. I gave a crabby growl and moved away.

It's not all bad, though. We chased each other around the yard today. He watched me dig a hole. I made him climb a tree really fast. He tackles me if I'm just standing there. We walk together when Mama goes into the bush to look at plants.

Ma says I snore really loud.

Ma says I gave a big snore and woke up the poor little kitty who was sleeping next to me. He opened his eyes and rolled over the other way to go back to sleep.

Where ever Mama sits, we sit and fight. Quietly. That's what we're doing right now. She's typing. We're fighting.

Tiny baby turkey mash for dinner.
