Arrival Story:
Sparks is a Tri-valley rescue dog ( - shameless plug for a great organization). He was a bundle of crazy uncontrollable energy when we first got him, but now after 24 weeks of obedience training, he has turned into a controllable bundle of energy. He is such fun with his boundless enthusiasm, and a big love who is very devoted to his family.

(in his barks) I love my people, gnawing on Maya and playing tug! I LOVE tug. I also like slippers, rearranging shoes, and squeakers. Death to wooden spoons! I have dog friends at the park who let me chase them. I get real tired when I do that! My people laugh at me when I leap trying to catch flies. That's all...gotta run!

Mud is fun!

We went to the Lake where I can run off leash. There was mud! Lots of it! I ran in the mud and told all the birds to move out of my mud! Mud is fun...all squishy between my toes and then all soupy under the water. Even getting kind of stuck in the mud was fun because I got to hop around like a rabbit! I found a turtle shell and some fish bones and a rabbit to chase (they are STILL faster than me)!

I wanted to take the mud home with me but mom took me to the place where they put boats in the water and made me walk around in the water. There wasn't any mud there...

New people schedule

Gosh, things have sure changed around here lately. I used to sleep in late with dad after mom made our breakfast and went away like she does most every morning. Now, dad leaves early, and I sleep with mom after he leaves...then we have breakfast and our walk. Then they are both gone.

But when they are gone it's not so bad. Even though we are alone, we start to look all over the house for our kongs (we have lots). They always manage to hide themselves in the morning now. They are tricky too. Maya is really good at finding them. Especially because they have peanut butter in them. I love peanut butter.

Getting back into digging again. But I can only do it in the side yard where there is no grass. But the ground is real hard there. But at least my people stopped filling up the holes like they did to the ones I made in the lawn.

What I learned today...

I learned today that jack rabbits are faster than me. I know, hard to believe that anything is faster than me, but it's true! Not that I would know what to do with one if I caught it! But thay are just fun to chase when I do find one!
