Best Tricks: Catching a ball thrown on the roof Arrival Story: I couldn't decide if I wanted a beagle or a basset for my son. Someone told me about a dog at the pound that was both so we went and got her that day. Bio: I was walking in my backyard and Daisy was trying to stop me from walking. She was going in and out of my legs which she never does so I stopped. I looked down and there was a copperhead snake. If I had taken one more step I would have stepped right on it. She got bitten 2 times. I rushed her to the vet. She was in dog intensive care for 2 days and looked the the elephant dog but is fine now. My husband killed the snake. If that snake had bitten me or one of my kids we could have died or lost a limb. Daisy saved us.
