Arrival Story: My family and I were ready to add another family member and went to the pound to look at another dog we had seen on our animal shelter website, well the dog wasnt there and I walked down the rows of cages. I saw Chomper sitting there looking so sad and he was the only dog not barking. I fell in love and we applied to adopt him that day and brought him home 4 days later. And I am so greatful to have him as a family member!
Bio: I wanted my mom to tell you also that I love my aunt, uncle and nanny. When they come to visit I do my best to make sure they are comfertable, and when they leave I walk them to the door to say see ya later and thanks for comin'!! And I will talk to mom too! She will ask me something and if I am in a playful mood I answer her with what sounds to her like "Abraaa Braaaa" Then the fun begins! I sometime get so excited while playing I will run through the house as fast as I can ...My rear has a hard time keeping up and it will spin around and hit the wall or whatever im going around while I'm running around corners and stuff. I can only do that for a few minutes then it's time for a break!!...But it is soooooo much fun and my family loves it!

I've Been On Dogster Since:
My family loves me so much...... But on June 6, 2008 , I saw my front door open while mom and her friend were moving some big glass thing they called an aquarium. ( She needed to get rid of it anyway...dogs are better than fish) But back to my story! I saw the open outside and it was screaming my name, so out I ventured, same block but this time seemed more tempting, I WAS ON THE RUN....YEAH!!!!!
It took mom, so she said, about a half hour to miss me. She said the rest of the night she yelled my name and looked for me blocks around the nighborhood. At dark she came in, it was very late and she was so worried about me being out by myself ,she left the back gate open just in case I came home. Well, Ididn't. The very next moring she called the animal shelter to see if I had been turned in, and the answer was no. She said she had my name put on the lost dog bulletin, and went down 2 times a week looking for me. Calling everyday and not finding me was tearing her heart up. She had put ads in papers, on tv and even bought things to make posters to hang up. But I was on the run.
The best she thought was that some one had picked me up and was hopefully giving me a good home. She prayed I would come home safe , but if not I was being loved. But just in case, she left the back gate open every night.
Well I ran for 2 weeks but I didnt find my way home , I decided I would go to my Nanas...she lives about a mile away, but I sniffed my way there. It was very early in the morning, about 5:30 am I do belive, but I wanted to go home. So I scratched and barked at the door till she got out of bed and answed the door! Yup it was Nana and she was so happy to me! Boy was I happy to see a familiar face.!! Nana said she had to call mom, and mom fell to her knees when she got the news! She said she thought I was gone for good , SURPRISE.....IT'S CHOMPER!!! I was home.....my Aunt Dede took me home and I got so many hugs and kisses that day. I knew I belonged there and never want to leave again.....well maybe for a check on the neighborhood once in a while. And guess what Rosie and Pete were actually glad to have home, well Pete wasnt real happy, he had to give The Dog position up after having having it for one day!
I learned how much those few weeks I was gone, that I have a family....a family that loves me and thinks Im the dog. So to all of my buds out there who think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence......it's not. You're loved...and lucky....most of us dont have this kinda life. Im just happy to have my family back again, my whole outlook has changed, mom said she notices a huge difference in me. Well yeah....Im home mom! I love you too!!!!!
Mom gets sooooooooo busy she sometime forgets to check my page for me and Rosie, Butter and Kipper too, but they are cats so who really cares! Im the DOG!
I've had a real great summer, loved being outside while it was so warm. Then it started cooling down and getting cold outside at night, and I also noticed I was putting on the pounds!!!! Mom said I was eating more than I should. What more can I say! The food was good! But anyway with this cold weather setting in and now she did something really strange....SHE BROUGHT IN A TREE FROM OUTSIDE!!!! And she started putting lights and other things on it! Now she has done this for a few years, I think it is strange,but she is human....and we dogs know how strange humans can be! Anyway it is a real pretty tree. I know when I get up one morning soon there will be colorful boxes under it and ONE WILL BE FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have learned that much about a tree being brought in! I love presents......especially toys....squeekie toys are the most wonderful. But hey Im open to about whatever you wanna give me.
Well I just wanted to give all my pals a quick update on my life.....Im doing good Im still THE DOG! Rosie...Butter and Kipper are all getting along fine too!! We just have to get along cause we live in the same house, but if I had the choice the cats would live outside and me and Rosie would run the place, but it can't happen that way so I just lay back and take it all in. I let mom run things....she seems to know what she is doing. WOOF to all my buds!!! The Chomps is outta here for now!! MERRY CHRISTMAS...and have a great NEW YEAR!!!! ...............CHOMPER..........
Well it was actually yesterday mom decided to take Rosie and I over to Nannys to take some family pictures, ya know with Abby, Zoe and Cookie. I secretly kinda like Cookie, but im neutered so my feelings come and go. Anyway, not a one of us hold still for any good pictures so mom just shot off a few to see how they would come out. Most were blurry or we were looking down at the ground for bugs or checking out who was going down the street. So she gave up on that. And boy am I glad she did. Ever since she found this awsome site she has been trying to get me to pose for pics, and most of us dogs arent into that kinda thing, if ya kow what mean!
Anyway I managed to get out of the backyard fence, im real good at that when I go nanny's, can't find a way out of my yard unless one of my human kids leave the gate open, but none the less I got loose and got to check out some of the nieghborhood before I was discovered by Nanny! Oops! Needless to say having to keep all the ladies busy that day wore me out! I am the only guy in the family. But Cookie and I kinda have crush on each other and we hang out alot. She LOVES to play, play, play and play. Im not old yet but she wears me out.
I was glad when mom pulled out the leashes and said it was time to go home!!! I was hot from being so busy and mom had the air conditioning on!!! YIPPEEEEEE!!!! I got home went straight to moms bed, plopped my head on my pillow (actually it's an extra one mom lets me use) and took a nice long nap! I was wore out!!!!
