Arrival Story: My mommy was kind and rescued me approximately 5 years ago at a pound (ASPCA) in Pennsylvania. These are all recent pictures of me. I was at the pound for approx 4 weeks before we met and my mom was told that they approximated that I had been roaming the cold streets (30 degree) of Nopvember for a few weeks, and boy was it cold! Whe mom came in to check out all the adoptable dogs, she said I was so docile in the crate while the other dogs were barking and carrying on -- this was becuase I didn't feel well :( .Mom later learned the day after I was adopted from a trip to Dr. M (my vet) that IIwas extremely ill. I had pneumonia Iin more than one lobe) and and an extremely high fever (104 to 105) and most concerning to my vet was that I had stopped eating for a few days. (mom even tried scrambled eggs, my favorite) Dr M. wasn't sure I would make it through the night (Friday) let alone the weekend but she was so nice and opened her office, set up a cozy crate for me and and put me on mega does of IV antibiotics (the needle hurt a little but I was a big boy) Dr M. and mommy checked on me throughout the weekend. Hospitalized and several hundred dollars later I was nursed back to health. First week of having me, mom said I almost didn't make it, was an expensive boy but well worth every cent! Mom was sooo upset. Mom says I "m such a good boy now because I know and appreciate how she took care of me and nursed me back to health. I came home one week later full of energy and the rest is history (good history)! Thanks Dr. M! and mom for hanging in there with me......

Bio: Been told I'm an American Pitt Bull Terrier mix with lab. O definitely have some APBT characteristics (coloring, markings wide jaw)- i chew toys in a day) but I also has a very pointy nose, not like a lab or Pitt bull. This helps me get behind my bowl in the corners too :) Not sure what else I am mixed with. Perhaps sheppard? MOm also posted this question on the message board so if anyone has any insight, she'd love to her from you. Nonetheless, I know I'm loved (and spoiled...did you see I have my own twin bed?? :) no matter what his background is, but Mom is just curious

Forums Motto: My loyal friend.
