Arrival Story:
I found Lucy on Bayou Manchac when she was a baby. She had been dumped out there and was sitting under a bush, eaten up with ants. She was VERY young - weeks old. I already had a dog and lived in an apartment, so I found a home for her and she lived with a lady and her children for about a year. June 2006, I learned that they had been keeping her outside and she started to dig and her family didn't like that, so they were keeping her in the garage and looking to re-home her. We had just moved into a house so I asked for Lucy back. She stayed with us for about a year and has recently gone to live with my grandfather's nurse and her family. We get to see her all the time and although she doesn't live in our house anymore, she's still very much a part of our family and we're so happy for her that she's getting all the attention in her new home.
