Quick Bio:

Birthday:
December 15th 1990

Likes:
Bootsie loves Greenies and people food, sitting in my lap as I drive my car, teasing the neighbor dogs, chasing squirrels, and garbage scavenging (not an approved household activity)!

Pet-Peeves:
Getting "caught" garbage scavenging, trips to the vet and groomer, having her teeth brushed, the oh-so-scary carpet sucking monster, and people who upset her buddy-Paula!

Favorite Toy:
Bootsie loves her Boodah Bone, and is also quite fond of her squeaky toy!

Favorite Food:
Bootsie loves chicken with rice (and she "alerts" me when the microwave "dings")! Anything I am eating is what Boots wants too, (and though some may argue this-Bootsie finds my cooking skills exquisite)!

Favorite Walk:
Bootsie and I "walk the grounds" every day! A very important duty...Bootsie inspects the fence and when necessary, can and will chase the errant house kitty back indoors!

Best Tricks:
Bootsie can slap a quick "high five", can place her own order at a McDonalds drive-thru window, practices "doggy calisthenics" on command, and always knows when we are in the car when we've pulled onto "her"street!

Arrival Story:
A friend of our family had given Bootsie to his elderly mother. It was soon found that the two had nothing in common: Bootsie being full of spunk and mischief, and her new owner, strict and disapproving! It was at that time that arrangements were made for Bootsie to make the arduous journey via ferry boat and interstate to her forever home with me. She was 6 months old then, and we have been inseperable ever since! (In fact, when we must be apart, both Bootsie and I suffer terrible separation anxiety! Bootsie will howl mournfully, and I will be reduced to tears)!

Bio:
On occasion, Bootsie has been known to enjoy chewing the cotton ends off of stray Q-Tips. We don't know why. She just does. * Bootsie was pre-named when we met, and not until recently did I come to find how fitting her name is! Whenever anyone that I am not fond of comes to visit, Bootsie will busy herself snapping and nipping at their shoes! She is quite tenacious in this, and no amount of scolding will deter her! * Bootsie loves to wake me up when I am fast asleep. Many a morning, I lay in bed...with that odd feeling that someone is "watching" me! When I open my eyes to greet the new day, my gaze is met with two HUGE brown eyes! You see, Bootsie will position her face about 2 inches from my own, and lay like this, still as a statue, until I open my eyes. When I do, the only movement she makes is her little ears raise up, and those eyes open wider! This will continue until I tell her "Good Morning", upon which she gives me a morning kiss on the nose! * For the past 13 years, when asked, we have stated Bootsie's breed as being a Cockapoo. Truth be told, though, we aren't sure! * Life hasn't been all fun and games for little Bootsie. She has had a grocery list of health problems in the past 5 years and has had seizures since her puppyhood....but you sure wouldn't know it by looking at her! She is an inspiration to all who meet her! * Never a dull moment when Bootsie is in the house! I could write a book about the misadventures of lil Bootsie! It would include chapters like, "Bootsie encounters Santa and the Elf", "Bootsie: the Pillsbury Dough Dog", "The Day Bootsie Dyed Her Fur Red", and that is just the beginning! * (If you'd like to read more about Bootsie, please check back! We will provide you a link to Bootsie's Journal in the near future)! * THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!! UPDATE!! Bootsie's Journal, "The Bootsie Files", has been created and can be seen at: http://journals.aol.com/otiamaria/ TheBootsieFiles/ Hope you to see you there!! (And don't forget to leave Bootsie and me a message)!

My sweetest friend, my Bootsie, crossed over to Rainbow Bridge on
December 10, 2004, at approximately 2:00 pm. She will be eternally remembered, forever missed, and perpetually loved beyond measure, even though we are now separated.

I'd like to invite you all to visit Bootsie's online journal. It was begun close to a year ago, and contains entries about Bootsie, and lots of cute Bootsie pics--many of which are not seen here on Dogster.

To go there now, please copy and paste this address into your browser and click go:

(don't forget to leave me a message while you're there! I'd love to hear from you)!

There are two other websites that are being made in memory of my little girl, and these will be announced upon their completion.

Thanks for stopping by.
(((hugs)))
