 Quick Bio:
| -mutt | -pound dog | -dog rescue | |
 Birthday: June 15th 2001
Likes: Eating, meeting & greeting people, belly rubs, rolling on grass, Dental Kong with mint paste

Pet-Peeves: Pop-up toasters, thunderstorms, fireworks, newspapers thrown from moving vehicles, nail trims, being forced to use the crate

Favorite Toy: Tiny stuffed animals. She is very gentle with them, but she will not play by herself.

Favorite Food: She'll eat anything with gusto, but she has a thing for fruits and vegetables. She tries to sneak yucky things she finds on the sidewalk.

Favorite Walk: Places where she found something to eat before; where people are likely to pet her; where there's cool grass to roll in or gopher holes to sniff

Best Tricks: Her best trick is to play ignorant. She has learned to play dead, crawl on her belly, roll over, shake paws, high five, and jump (well, step) through a hoop.

Arrival Story: We adopted Millie from the Tri-Valley SPCA in Dublin, California, in January 2004. We chose her because she was an adult and large-sized, and she seemed sweet, confident, calm, and gentle. She took obedience classes at the East Bay SPCA in Oakland, California.

Bio: Speak, Millie, speak! She howls plaintively at sirens. She rumbles at people she's happy to see ("No," we have to say. "She did not just growl at you.") And now she talks all the time: "Wake up! It's much too early for your alarm to go off."; "Hurry, hurry, feed me at the speed of light!!"; and "Hey, people, stop all that talking and pay attention to the dog!"
