I went to a small country pet store in central Maine to get goldfish. While I was waiting, I heard dogs barking. The owner told me that they also act as a sort of dog pound. I went inside and saw/heard a dozen barking dogs, then saw Maggie in a corner of her cage. She refused to eat, her hair felt like straw and she was very quiet. I fell instantly in love with her sad face.
Bio:
They told me she had been brought in because she had given birth to Rotweiler puppies and also because she refused to herd pigs on the farm where she lived.
