Quick Bio:
-mutt-pound dog

Likes:
he loves to explore the backyard, looks forward to eating toothpaste and his daily does of spunky butter

Pet-Peeves:
hates when I have to touch his feet for nail clippings and toe-fur trimming, and of course goes nuts when the mailman (how dare he) puts mail in the box

Favorite Toy:
toy? wait, what is that exactly? the closest he comes to playing is running around the house when we get home, but that's better then what it used to be (see below)

Favorite Food:
spunky-butter (peanut butter with his pill in it), second would be the extra organs you get in chicken packages - yummy (yuck!) giblets

Favorite Walk:
walking along the bay to the dog park in san mateo

Best Tricks:
elvis, roll over, stand up and turn... oh, what's elvis? if you scratch his face in just the right spot he raises his lip - looks like an elvis impression

Arrival Story:
My last year of college I decided that it was time for me to have my very own dog (boyfriend at the time had two, they were monogomously his). So we went to the local apl (animal protective league) and chose the cutest little yellow dog in the joint. He was so small he could fit in the sleeve of my coat! Another family had him for about a week and decided they didn't want him - and I'm so glad they didn't! He's a great dog - perfect size, very very soft (the beagle in him), calm, doesn't bark much, listens to commands most of the time - but is well-behaved enough to make up for the rest of the time. He's a good dog!

Bio:
The doggy dynamics for Joe used to be very, very different. In early 2006 we discovered that he had a low thyroid, which was causing him to be very lathargic, lazy and seemingly depressed. Since then he has been on mediation and is healthier (lost about 20 or so pounds), happier and much more energetic. He used to have these tear streaks under his eyes all the time - now they're gone! And he has so much more enegery, he actually runs in the backyard! - More pictures of Joe on Flickr - More about Joe

So I created this webpage today, and I'm totally dog addicted to this dogster site. I already have a bunch of dog pals and a few dog bones. My owners like the site too, and I think their new nickname for me is "dogster", heh, that's dog funny. Ooo, I think I heard them say, "doyouwanna" something, I gotta go! Catch ya later!
