What a pawsome day!! Sunday, April 25th was the best... our Knoxville Maryville Social Dog & People Meetup Group had our best meetup yet (and they've all been great!).

One of the members, Diana, hosted a Bar-b-que at her home in Seymour. She had a beautiful house that I wuffed exploring... and the back yard... wow... part of it was fenced in and we hang out there most of the time. John grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and there were lots of goodies for the doggies too.

There were lots of members there and they all brought their doggies. Roll call: Belle, Buster, Pumpkin, Shasta, Logan, Rodney, Tippy, Muffin, Puffin, sooo many dogs I can't recall them all!! I love them all, especially Belle (Mommy says I should apologize so "sorry Belle") BOL

Before and after the FOOD, Mommy and some of the members took their dogs outside the fence area to run on the rest of the property. Only the best behaved of us got to participate... u HAVE to listen to your humans!!

I ran like the wind... doing figure eights and circles... other dogs chasing me, me chasing other dog... it was pure heaven!!

We had so much fun we were there for four hours... needlessly to say, once we left I was asleep in the back seat all the way home!!!

Friday April 23rd Mommy and I got to leave work early to be in the Dogwood Arts Parade. The Festival was celebrating 5o years and humans and their dogs picked a decade, dressed up and got to walk in the parade.

We got to the staging area by the coliseum early and was it wild.... bands practicing everywhere, baton twirlers, clowns, floats, balloons... I just didn't know what to check out first.

We participating in the 1960's decade and joined a group of students & employees from the UT Vet School in the Puppy Flower Power area. There were sooo many doggies I didn't know who to sniff first.

All the band students came over and loved on us pups and played with us... it was a blast, and that was BEFORE the parade!!

Our group was in the front of the parade... we walked from the Coliseum to Gay Street and all the way down Gay to Summit Hill and then to State Street... this is where the parade ended...

Mommy & I made a quick stop at the Mast General Store for some more treats for me!! Then we finally walked back towards the Coliseum where we had parked. Along the way we saw the END of the parade (BOL).... one of the groups at the end was the WDVX Banger Band and one of those banjo players was our cousin Charlsey!! Mommy got a couple of pics of her group and she came over to pet my head!!

Then it was time to go home.... HOW much can a pup endure in one day?? I need sleep!!

Sunday, April 4th was a special day mommy called Easter. Mommy & Daddy were going to my Aunt Debbie's house for this special day and I was invited too. Aunt Debbie sooo cool.

When we got there I was even more happy to see all my furcousins... Molly was there of course, it's her house, but so was Katie & Charlie. We got to run around the yard and play and beg for food for hours.

The weather was great, warm & sunny. The company was great... and the food was PAWsome.

I got to hunt squirrels and see the horses run around in the field across the street. We had sooo much fun we didn't leave for almost 4 hours.... but when we did, boy, did I ever nap!!!

Mommy says this special day happens every year.... I can't wait for next year.

Boy, did I have fun this past Saturday!!!! Mommy & Daddy have joined a local group called "Knoxville Maryville Social Dog & People Meetup." The group stays in touch via the internet and plans all kinds of cool dog trips.

The latest trip was one that Mommy suggested and it was to Seven Islands Wildlife Management Area east of Knoxville. There are over 300 acres that have been preserved for wildlife and there are about 6 miles of hiking trails.

We met several of our group members and their dogs at the parking area and looked over a map of the trails before deciding to take one... we chose one that went UPhill, but it was still fun.... it was so very nice and warm and all the doggies and people that came had a blast.

I really enjoyed all the tall grasses that bordered the trails. I could smell all kinds of critters in that grass.... if Mommy would have just let me run... I'd still be there running and smelling and hunting those critters.

After a long day of hiking we headed to our favorite place for munchies... Chick-fil-A!!! Mommy & Daddy even shared a small bite of chicken with me!!! I wuff my humans!!!

Mommy & I went downtown Saturday!! We wuff going downtown... our favorite store is the Mast General Store... they are Fido Friendly and love to see us pups come into shop!! After I got plenty of loving and petting we shopped around the store and there were many good bargins. The girl scouts were set up outside so of course Mommy had to buy a box of cookies... it's for a good cause!!!

We walked all over Market Square and even hunted squirrels in Krutch Park... I'm gonna get me one of those furry things one of these days!!!

Mommy wanted to try a new shop out... it sells Italian Gelato.... (ice cream - made with milk not cream and just delicious). Mom got chocolate and then realized she should have gotten vanilla so I could have some too.... but it was okay... the girl working there gave me a vanilla scoup.... it was yummers.... Sitting outside in 40 degree weather eating gelato with Mommy.... so much much much FUN!!!

Brrrr was it cold for the Mardi Growl Parade this year.... turn out was low due to the cold and snowy weather we seem to continue to have here in Knoxville. Mommy took me to the parade despite the weather and we had a great time.

Several of our friends (human & furry) were there braving the cold. Everyone had a great time. Nathan & Margaret brought Tic Tac & LB, Scott brought Rambo, Stan brought Beau... and many others were there too.

After the parade we checked out all the vendors on Market Square and by Krutch Park... several gave away FREE dog treats!!! Yummers.... We saw our neighbors that own River Dog Bakery (Pam is always good for a treat)... then Mr. Bill with K&B Dog Treats... he wuffs to feed me his special treats!!!

When we could no longer stand the cold we headed over to the Mast General STore... they love seeing us pups in the store... they also gave out free treats... ya can't beat that!!!
