A Day in the Life of a Hermster

My Mom can COOK!!!

Well, I had to go see that mean Dr Vaughn Saturday. I don't know why Mom acts like she LIKES him! She shouldn't like him. He's mean to me! He gave me a shot that hurt!!! I cried a lot. And he said it would make me limp - he's right! I was so sore that for three days my Mom had to help me upstairs, on the bed, in and out of the car. But this morning, I feel great! I can jump up on the bed again and I can do my Hermee strut. What's an anabolic steroid? And is that going to help me gain weight?

You want to know how much my Mom loves me? She cooked me food!! My mom doesn't cook, you know. She decorates. When she gets birthday cards & Christmas cards, she displays them on the stove top... Get the picture? Anyway, she and Dr Vaughn talked about my eating disorder and this new food my Mom found, "Rudy's Greens." I love this stuff! But after looking over all the ingredients, my Auntie Laura said, "You can make this in the crockpot". So Sunday morning Mom went to the grocery and got all the yummy rices and veggies and beef stock and Sunday night we chowed down. It was delicious! Mom says she will fix me another batch every single Sunday. She really wants me to gain some weight. She says I look like an anorexic Airedale.

Abby likes my food, too. Abby definitely has an eating disorder. Her new name is Chubba-Dubba.

Vacation Days

My mom just took four days off to spend with me. It was heaven, 'cause with the weekend we actually had six days to be together. We walked, we took naps, we walked, we went to the Dog Park, we walked, we read books, we walked. And it was as though our days were divined - July in Louisville is brutal! Hot, humid and totally unbearable, right? Wrong - it was great this year!! We turned off the air-conditioning! We were able to walk in the afternoons! I could not have asked for a better vacation. My mom loves me more than anything in the world.

Oh yeah, Abby got to walk, too. And go to the park. And nap. Whatever.

3. Everyone knows I like to go places, so I am usually invited to go with my Mom everywhere she goes. We go on dinner dates, we go to play cards, we go on boat rides, we go everywhere!

4. I am a cancer survior and I have only one kidney.

5. The license plate on our car is "HERMEE" - I am so loved

6. I never, ever chewed or destroyed things around our house - even when I was a pupster.

7. I put up with my dog, Abby.
