Love at first sight! Just look at that face :) Need I say more?

Bio:
Humphrey was our first dog as a married couple...kind of that "can we handle parenthood" dog. Well, he made it pretty easy on us, so two years after we got him we had a baby. Everyone told us that he'd be really jealous and that we'd probably have to get rid of him because "Shih Tzus are snappy dogs and they're not good with kids." Obviously the people who said this had never owned a Shih Tzu. He is fabulous with kids. He used to "babysit" while we did dishes or took a fast shower. He'd lay in the chair next to the cradle or under the cradle and come and get us if the baby so much as whimpered. He still lays with the kids when they're not feeling well, or sometimes just because he loves them. He's been my faithful companion for twelve years and I couldn't ask for a better dog.
