Arrival Story:
We wanted a dog, not a puppy. But when we saw Zoe at the Oceanside, CA, Humane Society, we fell in love. She was 3 weeks old, the shelter had just got her from a backyard breeder who was going to detroy her because her back legs didn't work. She also had a heart murmer. We visited her every Saturday and Sunday to convince the employees that we were the best home for her, and when she turned 8 weeks old she was ours! Her legs developed normally (her tendons and ligaments took a while to develope-probably due to being in a tiny cage at the breeders) and her heart murmer disappeared. She's the BEST dog in the world and very healthy!
