Birthday: October 30th 2005 Likes: Jelly most favourite thing to do is anything with her Mommy. She loves to go for car rides, go on walks, play with toys and chase squirrels. Pet-Peeves: Doesn't like grooming, not being able to go out with her Mommy, squirrels Favorite Toy: Jelly has lots of toys because she never destroys them. Her favourite toys are plush squeaker types. She plays with all her toys but her favourite is her old purple loofa dog. Favorite Food: Jelly's favourite food is chicken and turkey. It took her until 3 years of age to like kibble but she now will eat that down. She also loves healthy soft dog treats. Favorite Walk: At Clear Lake, Manitoba. She loves walking around the townsite and chasing squirrels by the beach. Best Tricks: She knows most basic obedience commands eg. sit, down, stay ,come, heel. Jelly can retrieve many of her toys by name. She can jump many different kinds of jumps, go through a tunnel and use the dogwalk. Jelly also rings the bells to go outside. Arrival Story: I have had Miniature Schnauzers for over 25 years and I always wanted an Affenpinscher. When my last schnauzer became 15 years old I decided it was time to start looking for an affenpinscher. I thought it would take me a couple of years to get one since they are relatively rare but I was very fortunate and found a really good breeder who was willing to let me have one within a couple of months. I consider myself very fortunate to be owned by Jelly. Bio: My Daddy is an American and a Canadian Champion. I have been told that I have many champion relatives in my pedigree. I am going to doggy shows. I don't know what all this champion stuff means but I love going to shows with my Mommy and my doggy relatives. I especially love all the treats and attention I get. I have also been going to doggy school. I started out in Puppy School and then I went to "Confirmation" classess where I learned how to be a show dog - stand and walk nice. Diary of the Day: I was Diary of the Day on March 5, 2007. Thank-you Dogster for supplying us with this special space to write our diaries. A very special thank-you to my Mommy for doing all my typing. My little paws do not type very well! My diary is so much fun because of all my pals who read my diary throughout the year. Very special, special thanks go to them. We just love your p-mails and the interaction that we have with you. Also I would like to thank all the pups who sent us warm wishes via p-mail, pup pal requests, rosettes and stars on my special day. Keep woofing and writing pups!
Mommy finally came to get me at the kennel on Saturday. Since I was in the kennel for almost 3 weeks it cost Mommy millions and millions of dollars to get me out. Mommy said it was well worth it for her piece of mind knowing that I was well cared for. She then told me all about MY new house and the trip that we are going to have to make by plane to get to MY new house. She said she will be going out of town less for work and I will be going to a kennel less often. This all makes me very happy. I am looking forward to Mommy and I living in MY new house.
Mommy and I spent the weekend relaxing and in general just enjoying being home. On Sunday we phoned Grandpa in the morning to wish him a happy Father's Day. He had already opened up the gift we sent him and he said he likes it.
Tomorrow Mommy goes to work and I get to stay home and catch up on my beauty sleep.
Mommy is finally coming home tomorrow. I have been in the kennel for three weeks while Mommy has been traveling all over. She says she is working but I don't always believe her. She was in Toronto for a week and she was in Kingston for a week and then she was in a place called Deerhurst Resort for a week. She must think I am a dumb pup if she thinks she can fool me into thinking the resort place is work. Mommy said she is going to tell me all about our house when she gets home. I guess I can forgive her for leaving me in the kennel if she bought me a house. I am going to have my very own backyard and a Princess room and Mommy isn't going to have to travel as much in the new location. Mommy said we will get to spend more time together. Our new house is only 2.8 km away from the office which will be very handy for coming home to let me out.
Our new house had an inspection today and passed with flying colours expect for one thing. The HRV needs a repair and the man said it wouldn't cost much. The realtor lady is going to ask the sellers to pay for it. While Mommy was in the house she looked at the carpet in the bedrooms. She had to admit it is in good shape and maybe she shouldn't rip it out right away. Yahoo, I am a step closed to having carpet. I could play lots of games with carpet in the bedrooms and hall. I just know that once Mommy sees how nice the carpet is she will keep it.
