Arrival Story:
We wanted a playmate for our super-hyper German Shepherd pup because she was driving our other two dogs crazy. I was looking for a Lab or Lab Mix. I found Blaze on Pet Finder and she was at our local shelter. She was about 4 mos old and had been picked up as a stray.

Bio:
Blaze, on the day she was going to the vet to be spayed, was playing with an elderly shelter employee and nipped her. Due to her super-sharp puppy teeth, she broke skin, so she had to be rabies quarantined for 10 days. Once we got her home, I noticed that she had a bald spot that kept growing. I took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with mange. A few days later, she was found to have a tape worm. Now we have gotten rid of the tape worm and are at the end of her eight week treatment for mange. Everything is looking good so far!
