Arrival Story:
DaVinci was originally kept by his breeder to be a show dog, unfortunately he could not be shown because of a recessive trait. His first home was in Maryland, but his owner took ill and could not give DaVinci the proper puppy care he derserves, so he went back to his breeder's home. Because of his sister Bella (who's demeanor and beauty we fell in love with), we found Vinni or Vinni found us.
Bio:
In 1991 the Lagotto received Italian Kennel Club official recognition, and FCI recognition shortly afterwards. The 1990s also saw the breed expand into other countries such as Sweden, the UK, France, and Germany. They have also continued their existence in Switzerland, and recently have begun to appear in North America.
With many of these new countries devoid of truffles, the original water retrieving qualities have resurfaced as the main function of the breed – a direction endorsed by the Italian Breed Club, as it brings the reestablishment of the breed back full circle.

I love when my NY friends come to visit me in Philly. I was a little embarassed about my new haircut, but its growing back...I hope they didn't think I was some little paison or sometin'! My friends from New York, Long Island & the Bronx! ehh...manga e bevi awll da time. we hung out in the park, lots of kisses and hugs if ya know whatta I mean ;)
Ahh...nothing like my home surrounded by love! Amore! I miss them soo, now. I am waiting for the day they come to me again!
