Arrival Story:
I think that it was Devine intervention that we found Jam's breeder. Jam had been sold to another lady but had to bring her back b/c her boyfriend was so severely allergic to her that his eyes would swell shut. I just happend to call maybe 2 days after Jam was returned to the breeder. After hours of interviews over the phone and then actually went to meet the breeder and the puppy. My husband kept telling me on the ride to the breeder. "Now we are only going to go look at the puppy, we aren't going to bring it home." We talked for a bit and Jam was just a lively little girl. She was sniffing the living room and crawling under things and just a sweetheart. Linda the breeder brought out pictures of dad, Red Rock, what a handsome gentleman he was. Rock weighed in at 165 lbs. We saw were Jam got her good looks and the red in her coat. Next thing I knew Jim was asking for the check book and famous last words were ringing in my ears and I just laughed. As we were driving home with a cute little bundle in the back seat. I asked him "what happen to 'we are only going to look at the puppy, we're not bring it home tonight?' All I got in responce was "Oh hush". We never regreted a moment or $$ b/c she's priceless. Jam has blessed our lives 100 fold and more.

Bio:
There are so many stories that I could tell about her there isn't enough room on the page. Jam is a hero, she kept our little neighbor girl (3 yrs old) from being abducted by to strangers when she (Jam) was only 5 mos. old (60 lbs.) by placing herself between the 2 men and standing her gound til my husband came out of the garage. My parents were staying at the house on week and watching Jam while were gone. During the night my mom was watching TV. Mom said that Jam came running down stairs and up to the window and barked and growled. (two things she rarely did if ever). Mom said that she saw shadows runing past the window. In the morning apparently someone had stoled our decrative lawn sprinkler durning the night. If a car stopped at the stop sign for too long Jam would get up from where she was and stand in the middle of the driveway and just watch them til they drove off, and then she'd stand watching them a little longer. She was a loving and gentle protector.

Valentine Tag Game

February 14th 2008 10:38 am   [link to this entry]

Ouch!!! Is that an arrow I feel jousting my little rear? By golly Miss Molly, it's Cupid! I have been tagged by the one, the only AWESOME Sisalee The little cutie !!!!

So here's how it works; in Valentine Day tag, you write your five Valentine Day wishes in a diary entry, then choose five of your pup pals and have them write down five of THEIR wishes. Then they choose five pup pals... and so on and so on...

You can let your five pup pals know that they have been tagged by paw mail, or rosette. Have fun and I hope all of your Valentine Day wishes come true!

My 5 Valentine wishes are:
1. I wish I could be with my mom and dad and new little sister, Liberty and give them loves.
2. To run and play with my soulmate Jasper, I really miss him.
3. That mom wouldn't be so sad still when she looks at my pictures and remembers.....I'm okay mom I love you too.
4. That all dogs and cats could have a loving and forever home as wonderful as I did.
5. Skips was open again b/c they had the BEST marrow bones around.

L.O.D.D.

February 2nd 2008 7:49 am   [link to this entry]

In the fire dept. there is a thing call Line of Duty Deaths or L.O.D.D. That's when some that is on duty, volunteer or career, is killed or dies while on a call or traveling to or from a call.

Jam served her family with all that she had, love, laughter, devotion, forgiveness, compassion, pretection of family and property. She was on duty 24/7 to the end. On July 20th, 2006 at 2:40 a.m. while serving her family New-Smith's Bad-Mamma-Jammer was released from the pain of her earthly sufferings of cancer, she died surrounded by her family who loved her and will continue to love and miss her till they are all reunited again in a place of beauty and peace where there is not pain or heartache.

You served well my good and faithfull companion.

Life lessions Jam taught me

My life lessons she tought me were:

-Always give unconditional love

- it's always good to be quick to forgive.

-Wag your tail when meeting new people, it' leaves a lasting impression.

- let your family and friends know how much you love them but because you never know when you'll see them.

-hugs and kisses are a good thing.

-take a nap in the warm sun, it warms the spirit.

- homemade treats taste the best b/c they are made with love.

- make time for a belly rub, it helps lowers blood pressure and releave the stresses of the day.

-Even though we can't see our beloved, they are still watching out for us.

-Take time to enjoy the simple things in life.

Dogs leave paw prints in your heart.
