anywhere as long as she's being carried, but she likes walks now. She used to be scared to walk on anything but grass but I trained her to have confidence on the sidewalk and now she likes walks

Arrival Story:
I already had two chihuahuas (Rocco and Zachary) and I had decided on getting a third because I took Rocco out with me so much that Zach was left alone and I wanted him to have a sibling since chihuahuas in particular are pack animals. I searched the shelters and rescue groups for a few months and a co worker alerted me to a few chihuahuas that needed homes because the owner was a hoarder and backyard breeder and I went and found Elka. She was only four months old and weighed 1 pound and I found her living with another chi in a hamster cage. I took Elka because I have had a lot of experience with raising small breed puppies and how to deal with problems like hypoglycemia. I had to be with her constantly for three weeks and she had a large patch of blue dye on her neck that didn't come out for three more months. I couldn't figure that one out. She will be 1 year in Oct 2006 and barely weighs three pounds but now she is healthy and very happy. Every time she looks at me I see a little glimmer of a "thank you" in the tiniest of full grown dog eyes I've ever seen.

Bio:
Although Elka hates to wear clothes(except when cold), she loves modeling. I am very much into photography and I can't think of better subjects than my dogs and when I take a shot of her in a tu tu or a dress you can tell she loves it and she poses like a little Diva. It really seems to boost her self esteem...I'm serious
