the case of the missing chewgar

Yesterday my mommy came home from Monterey and brought me a chewgar. I had never tried one before, but as soon as I put it in my mouth I soon realize that my life hadn't been complete without this wonderful thing. I decided that I should hide it, bury it, whatever it took to make this tasteful thing last and keep it away from my enemies. I headed towards the door, but it was closed! So I walked over to my daddy and gave him the look, he knew this look. I know he did! But for some reason he wasn't responding. So I started to whine...and he still didn't let me out!!!! So then I tried hiding my chewgar in the house, but I couldn't everyone was watching. I heard them laughing! I bet you they were gonna try to steal it when I wasn't looking. So I hid it really good, I mean they would never find it. Upstairs, in the office room between this tall cupboard and the closet. "Perfect", I thought...

But this morning I completely forgot where I hid it! Maybe it was too good of a hiding place. I couldn't believe it. I must have retraced my steps three times before I remembered where I hid it. When I finally checked between the cupboard and the closet, IT WASN'T THERE!!! You know I betcha that Izzie took it, that mean 'ol cat. She is probably so jealous of me because I am older and I get more attention than she does. She is so jealous that she had to go and take my chewgar because mommy didn't bring her back anything.

I went back downstairs with my head drooped. But then when I looked up, I saw my daddy with my chewgar! I don't know why he had it. Daddy wouldn't have stolen it, I think he probably caught Izzie with it....Or maybe he stole it and I caught him in the act. I will never know..but it doesn't matter, because of my chewgar back and I finally hid it outside where nobody can find it. Not even me.

I am proud to say that the case of the missing chewgar is closed!
