Arrival Story:
I was unemployed with too much time spent with Oprah and Jenny Jones, so I started volunteering at BARC (Williamsburg shelter). Smokey had been in the shelter for one day when I came to walk him. It seems that Smokey had lived with an elderly woman in Greenpoint who couldn't care for the little pup any longer. I walked Smokey (then named Peanut) once, then proceeded to put him back in his little pen--couldn't do it. I asked if I could take him for one night, brought him home in the red VW, got to our loft and knew the minute he snuggled in my lap we were gonna keep 'em! All I had to do was convince Omri--he was sold after one night. We adopted him the next morning and life has been so sweet since then!! He was 6 months old when we adopted him on April 27, 2002.

Bio:
Hey duuuuuudes-I'm Smokey your friendly neighborhood dog. Please excuse my mom--she loves pretending she is Bob Saget on "America's Funniest Home Videos". The thing I love mostest is my mom and dad-they try and take me everywhere with them. I make sure I give lotsa kisses and I like to give them hugs--real ones-I especially like the family group hug which in that case when I see them hugging, I make sure I jump right in there and throw my paws up! When they aren't with me, I am snuggling in their bed under a toasty down comforter, lounging in the sun, or hanging out with my Uncle Bob (he's not really my uncle, but we are so close--HEY, NOT THATCLOSE!!!--he just takes me to the park and when it is rainy and cold brings over some other dog buddies to wrestle me. LIFE IS GOOD!
