Likes:
tormenting the cat, walks in the park, stepping on Mom's and Dad's heads, playing around in the backyard, sniffing everything in sight

Pet-Peeves:
getting into trouble, not being allowed the lick the cat to death, not being allowed to play with my friends 24/7, the words: "What is THIS?"

Favorite Toy:
Anything that squeaks and anything I can rip apart! I LOVE those Nylabones!! I could chew on those for hours!

Favorite Food:
Anything that falls on the floor, except for broccoli...yuck!

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere! I love walking around and sniffing stuff. It's what I do...

Best Tricks:
Sitting, laying down, shaking paws and, of course, looking totally pathetically cute...I can get away with anything as long as I play the cute card.

Arrival Story:
Mom and Dad came to the puppy store just to look around. I stole their hearts in minutes 'cuz I'm such a cutie. They had no choice but to take me home and love me forever. When they are angry at me, I will give them their 5 minutes and then give them the chin-on-floor w/ eyes peering up routine.....get's them every time!

So...last year at Thanksgiving, mom, dad, my brother and I moved from our old house to our new house. It was so sad to leave my old friends (and my favorite park...with bunnies...) but this place is really starting to grow on me. I can see outside to the park behind me and say hi to all the other dogs and humans when they come by. Mom and Dad get kind of annoyed when I say hi to everyone, they say I'm too noisy. I'm just trying to be a good neighbor. There's another German Shephard across the street that's sometimes fun to play with (when he's not trying to steal my hugs and kisses or get mom's attention!) And the park is fun to run around in, there's even a cool playground for me to run up and down the stairs. Mom tried to get me to go down the slide once, it was SCARY! Never ever again... No bunnies though...*sigh*...I miss them, they were so fun to chase. Lizards aren't quite the same but their pretty fun too.

This year, I am thankful for having my mom and dad to play with every day, I'm even kinda sorta thankful for having my brother around. He's still not a dog, but at least he's company when we're left alone in the house. And he's a great scapegoat when they find fur on their favorite couch. He he he... Now we go on nice long walks around the neighborhood and say hi to all my friends. Mom taught be to play "fetch", every time I run to get the ball she gives me a treat. I'm not sure what's so great about the ball but mom really seems to like it so I keep getting it for her. I still don't understand why everytime I bring it to her she just throws it away again, but maybe that's just one of those crazy human things I'll never understand. I also got a soccer ball this year because Dad and I like to watch soccer on TV at night. Soccer is fun! Mom and I run around the yard and kick the ball to each other, it's fun to grab it and run from her, then she chases me around until I drop it for her. Another wierd thing, I drop it for her, and she kicks it away again. Apparently humans have serious ball issues...

Well, it's time for my early morning nap. Today will be a big day. Nap, soccer, nap, bath, nap, chase kitty, annoy mom and dad, nap, eat, play outside, nap and then it's bedtime... Yup, big day. See ya!!!

Just another Sunday morning

Mom and Dad got a late start today so I had nothing to do all morning but lay around in their bed and look cute. Mom keeps calling me a "pest". I don't know what that is but whatever it is, I sure do get petted a lot when I'm being one. I don't know where my brother is right now, he's that little tiny furry thing that doesn't bark like I do, Mom calls him "Kitty". I was hoping to find him so I can play chase but he's hiding from me somewhere, probably in Mom's laundry basket. It's too hot to go for a walk, I was hoping to get Mom and Dad up early to go before the sun came up but they were too lazy today so I'm stuck inside all day long. *sigh*. Maybe tomorrow... I can't wait for it to rain again this year, last year it rained and the whole park outside was full of water. It was so much fun to go splashing around and chase those flying things that keeping coming around for a drink. Well maybe someday soon. Until then, Dad says it's time to get my nails clipped and my fur brushed.

My first entry

Today is the first day I decided to write in this diary. It's pretty darn cool actually, way to go Dogster! Let's see... What do I write about. Well, Mom and Dad left me alone today to go to wherever it is they go almost every day. I hate it when they leave. I try to give them my best "take me with you" routine and they ignore me. They give me a treat and say goodbye and then leave me alone with my stupid brother. He's not a dog like me, he's something really tiny and furry and all black. He makes a funny "meow" sound and has this really twitchy tail that I try to catch sometimes. But then when I catch it, he turns around and smacks my nose. Dumb brat. But I guess that's what brothers are like.

Nothing really exciting happened today. It wasn't one of those days where we go on a really nice long walk in the morning and say hi to all the other dog but they won't let me play with any of them. Isn't that why we go outside?? I guess not. It's really hot outside all the time so they only take me out really early in the morning or late at night right before bedtime. Other than that I just watch the park from the window and wait for them to come home. Sometimes Mom shines this really cool light on the grass outside and I get to chase it, someday I know I'll catch it. And then I'll stomp on it and shake it around. Yeah...someday...

Well *yawn*... Mom is calling me off to bed. Dumb furry thing gets to sleep on the bed with them but I have to sleep on the floor. It's just not fair. But that's OK, in the morning when Dad gets up, Mom lets me sneak into bed with her and kicks my brother on the floor. Ha!
