Arrival Story:
She was adopted from a rescue organization in Toledo called Planned Pethood. She was a little scared of me at first, but didn't take long to warm up. She had some scars on her back and elbows, and her stomach still hangs from all the little pups she had so very young.

Bio:
Princess had a tough life before she was rescued. She spent most of her previous life either pregnant from the time she was able to go into heat and/or chained up on a 4 foot leash to a tree. She also has a little gimpy hind leg, probably due to being abused by a human. She's very leery of strangers at first, but after a while you'll have a friend for life.

My Tail of Devotion for Princess

Princess is quite simply the best dog I could have ever hoped for. I've gone through some pretty crappy things in the past year, and through it all, Princess is by my side. She's the only living being that doesn't care what happens.

I never thought I'd be one of "Those" kinds of dog people. You know the ones...always going on and on about their pet. Princess changed all of that. She initially was scared of me, probably due to the fact she was abused by a man for the first 2 years of her life.

I tried to change her name when she was first adopted, but Princess was just too stubborn for it. She's a very motherly dog as well. Definitely the alpha-female whenever she's around other dogs. Of course, when you're a 100+ pound dog, I guess you can be. She'll take a puppy under her wing and care for it. She even wimpers when she first gets a stuffed animal, as if she's calling to her puppies. She'll get over that quick, and then proceed to disembowel the toy.

In short...princess truly is an amazing dog.
