I'm Still Here.......

Sorry eveyone...my dad has...once again, been too busy to keep up with my diary...but I'm still here and kicking heheh....I'm still growing, still like my ice cream, and still like to take my dad for walkies heheh. My dad keeps promising to put new pics up of me, but so he hasn't, so I'll have to sit on him till he does. My dad has this idea that I'm NOT a Saint Bernard now, he thinks I'm really a Jack Russell in disguise, just another crazy idea he has heheh, he says it s because NO Saint Bernard has the energy I have...I think between you and me its just his OLD age catching up with him heheh...see u all soon...

Awsummmmmmm.....

Once again, its been a long time since my dad wrote anything on here...and all I can say is what I always say, hes workin way to much.........But we did have kinda a neat experience last nite.....we were out to Yorkville as usual for my walkies....and when we dropped into Michelle's patio for our drink Michelle called us into the restaurant (cuz there weren't any regular customers in there so we cud get away with it)......and guess who was there...and we had a few drinks with?????........ok....you maybe gotta be older to know this name....
FRANKIE AVALON......and his wife......was totally cool.....they both loved me of course heheh....they have a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog....so I think I sorta reminded them of her cuz they were really makin a fuss over me.....anyway it was pretty cool....another celebrity on my list.......

Yesterday.....

Yesterday was one of the best days ever. At first it was'nt so good because my dad left me while he had to go get his car serviced - but then when he got home we went for a walk - then got home and he barbque'd for me - steak - that was definetly worth stayin home alone for awhile heheh. Then later we went to Yorkville for our walk and stopped at Michelle's after for a drink - Dad had rum/coke I had water - gotta try that rum/coke someday haha - BUT - Chef Derek brought me out a huge bowl of rice for a snack so it was pretty cool. I had a bunch of ladies makin a fuss over me for the whole time we were there, thats always good, they didnt even seem to mind too much when I drooled all over them. Today we're back to work as usuall - no long weekend for us - that sucks.........but theres always tonights late night walk so its all good I guess......

Bones.........YUMMMMMMMMMMMM

Just got back from a walk in Yorkville....tons of people out and about today....sat at Michelle's for awhile while Dad had a drink and Chef Derek brought me this humungous bone with a ton of meat on it...Life just doesn't get much better than that.........

Never Again...........

My regular groomer had to close her shop, so my dad had the bright idea to take me to a "self-wash" place - big mistake heheh.
First, I had to walk up a stupid ramp to get into the tub - I don'd do ramps! (it was narrow and steep) - then - the tub was made for like a poodle or something - definetly not for a 200 pound boy - but anyway, after a lot of work and what my dad called frustration? he got me into this stupid little tub - and "tried" to wash me - ok, so my dad might be good at some things - but he sure doesn't know how to wash a dog!!!
Long story short - my dad was wetter than I was - and all he got clean was my front - oh well - hes searching for another groomer with a walk in shower haha - guess I won't be going back to the self wash place for sure.
Plus its hot again - what happened to winter???????
Oh ya - and one of my best friends - Dina - the little dingo/sheppard cross had to go live in heaven - that sucks big time - I miss how she used to bite my lips and ears. But my dad says shes happy and peaceful and isn't in any more pain so thats a good thing, and he says he's sure she found another saint that she can nip at - miss you Dina.................

Hello........

Its been raining all day so I haven't been able to go out, but my dad thinks we will be able to tonight. On Friday night we went to Michelle's after our walkies, and man, I was mobbed again. I don't mean to be conceited, but "everyone" who walked by the patio where we were sitting stopped to talk and pat me. The Chef said he was going to start paying us to sit there cuz it brings in business heheh. I got a nice bone so thats all that mattered to me, and ya, I like the attention to - I laid on my back for all the pretty women that wanted to rub my belly - that always works heheh.
My dad said he should lay on his back for belly rubs but I don't think it will work for him...............

Country visit......

Hi Everyone:

Yesterday my dad took me wayyyyyyy out in the country and I was able to RUN till I couldn't run anymore - well, actually I think I could have run a lot more but my dad got tired heheh. I even found some unmelted snow that I decided to run through - but didnt realize it was deep in one spot and ended up doing a faceplant right in the middle of it...lotsa fun. I love running, not sure if that is a normal thing for Saints but I do anyway. I found some rabbits to chase and some mice to chase in the farmers fields too. There was a giant puddle of water that I "Wanted" to swim in, but seeing as my dad just paid $200 to have me groomed the day before he figured it would NOT be a good idea for me to go swimming in it......he takes away all my fun heheh. It was a great day and I slept most of the way home in the back of the car. Other than that theres not a lot new in my life - still going for my walks in Yorkville and the Beltline, still getting lots of treats - and my ice cream parlor will be opening again soon so all is good in the world heheh. Hi Everyone....

As usual, my dad's been too busy working to keep my diary up to date. Yesterday and last night we had a pretty bad storm here - my dad left work to go home which usually only takes about 5 minutes, and it took us almost 2 and a half hours to get there - there were cars stuck everywhere and it was VERY slippery - total gridlock....so my dad had to keep taking detours and trying to find a way to get to our house. I was NOT happy - thats just too long waiting to get my dinner haha. We even ended up driving on sidewalks and going the wrong way on one way streets just to get around all the stuck cars and gridlock...but we made it and I DID eat my dinner. Today its raining so it sucks big time. Nothing much is new with me. Still just going for my walkies and eating and sleeping and waking my dad in the morning with my kisses - he really does like it haha...even when he complains. Hopefully at Easter we are going to take a trip East and visit my people relatives and friends. Right now I'm really dirty and rolling on the floor so my dad isn't to happy heheh...oh well...its a Saint thing....

Hi.....

It's Monday, and I'm DIRTY!!! My dad thinks its time to invest in a doggie spa as he says he's spending to much money on my grooming heheh...but I'm worth it I keep telling him!!! Someone should invent a doggie drool catcher for big guys like me then I wouldn't get so dirty so quick!! (if anyone knows that they've already got them let my dad know). We got a little bit of snow so I can make a few angels in it and can roll around in it too. And its REALLY cold, so I like that. Nothing else much new - I got a really good bone on my saturday walkies at Michelle's - so I guess that helped in getting me dirty too.
Anyway, hope everyone is well...bye for now.

Hi everyone:

My dads been working a lot as usual, and travelling some, so he hasn't kept my diary up to date. However we're both good and doing well, except my dad says hes too old to keep working heheh....I think he'll need to win a lottery to fix that problem though. We had a great Christmas, I got lots of toys and people food. We've been goin to my favorite restaurant a lot, and I'm still getting great bones there when I go to visit. We haven't had much snow yet this year so that kind of sucks, but maybe we will still get some so that I can make puppy angels in the snow. At Christmas my dad and me were visiting Michelle, the owner of Michelles Brasserie in Yorkville at one of her other restaurants - and I snuck inside the restaurant from the back patio and "borrowed" (my dad used the word stole) a teddy bear from her Christmas tree...I do love that bear...I still carry it around the house still.
We're hoping to go East to visit relatives at Easter so that is something to look forward to - especially now that I've got my "own" car that I fit in much better and can lay in the back and have lots of room - so travelling a long ways will be much more comfortable. I hope everyone else is well and happy - will try to keep my dad updating my diary again now.
