He knows more breeders and whippet rescue reps than we do. A few days later he called me saying there was a 5 week old puppy free to a good home, but that it was deaf. After doing some research about deaf dogs and looking at our schedules to see if we had time for a puppy, we decided to add her to our family. We picked her up 4 weeks later when she was 9 weeks old and have been smitten with her ever since.
