Nicknames:
"Boogies"

Quick Bio:
-pound dog-dog rescue

Birthday:
March 3rd 1992

Likes:
"Dad, paws down. Grandpa and Grandma are alright, but that Dad guy, he's #1. Just about everything else makes me angry. Don't for get I'm like 84."

Pet-Peeves:
"Kids yelling.... this weird haircut Dad gives me every once in awhile.... being this old sucks.... I don't like a ruccous.... or when Dad leaves.... I hate when Mom and Dad kiss.... like I said, I'm 84, everything is a pet peeve."

Favorite Toy:
"I don't play with toys, I've seen too many toy junkies come and go, I don't touch the stuff. All I really like to do is hang out with Dad (and Mom, I guess), go outside, eat, sleep, and empty out."

Favorite Walk:
"I recently crossed the "Rainbow Bridge" on August 28th, 2004 (I passed away). I had to go, I just couldn't do it anymore. I feel a lot better now. The funniest thing is I still follow Dad around, but as a ghost. I know Dad misses me."

Best Tricks:
"Tricks are for kids. Unless taking a dump is a trick, or barking at Dad's friends when they come over is a trick, I got nothing except the old 'sit' thing."

Arrival Story:
"I was advertised as "Pet of the Week" by the Humane Society in '92, I was 3 months old. Dad was 15 and had 23 dollars from his paper route and his previous dog had crossed the rainbow bridge a week earlier. So he bailed me out of the pokey with those 23 dollars and we grew up together in the suburbs until I was 9. Grandma and Grandpa got a new house and said, "No dogs in the new house", a week later me and Dad were out of there. We live close to Wrigley Field, that makes me and Dad want to barf, it's Mom's fault."

Bio:
"Get this! I survived an apartment fire! Like 2 years ago Dad went to work, so I went to bed, and one of Dad's roommates caught the place on fire! Just before the flames got me, Charlie from Engine Company 39, Chicago F.D., I owe my life to this guy, grabbed me out of there, I had already given up. Then, Chris, from my building gave me CPR, revived me, and gave me oxygen from the ambulance, and rushed me in his truck to the Vet.-ER, I was in an oxygen tent for the rest of the weekend. The only thing that kept me going was Dad visiting me, I did it for him. I'm ok now, but I still have a little smoker's cough when I get excited. Otherwise everything else has been good, retirement is awesome!"

Hey Dad! I miss you... I miss you so much... They don't let us be unhappy up here, but up here is nothing compared to watching White Sox games with you on the couch. Don't worry, I'll be watching when you are this year. And you can teach Duke all about baseball this summer, he'll get it eventually. Although you can't tell yet, he's a lot like me. He'll always have your back and always be happiest when you're around, just like me. He may be a little joker right now, but so was I a long time ago. And so were you. In the end, its doing what you love that counts.

I miss Mom, too. I miss her getting jealous of us, I miss her coming home, I miss sleeping next to her after you went to work and taking naps in the middle of the day, I even miss getting angry when she hugged you.

I miss stealing the cat's place on the couch. What a jerk she was, I don't miss her cheap shots, that's for sure. But she was part of Home, which I miss really bad.

But I'm o.k., this Rainbow Bridge place IS great. People food is o.k. here, there's not a bad place to lay, I've got tons of pictures of you and me, a full open bar, and I can always watch what you're doing on a giant plasma HDTV. And, yeah, they have all the streams and rolling hills and stuff, and a bridge for you to come across, but I'll bring you to the bar at the corner by where I live. All of my dog buddies want to meet you, we'll have a great time.... pool, cards, darts, brewskis, laughs... the good ol' days.

Aw, Dad, the good ol' days....
