Arrival Story: My daughter came home with a small Chihuahua, possible Mix, today. She found it under a building (a trailer add on to the school next to us) while she was at the park with my son and one of her friends. The dog is very friendly and came right to her so she brought it home. We have checked with all our neighbors and houses in the surrounding area with no luck, I even walked up to the gas station on the corner and left my card in case someone comes in there looking for a dog. Tomorrow I will post fliers and contact Animal Control and the Humane Society, if I don't hear anything then I am going to take the pup into the vet on Tuesday and have them scan it for a microchip and have a health check done. The poor little thing has no tags or even a collar and doesn't seem very well cared for but we don't know how long the pup has been lost so it may just seem that way. If anybody is missing a Chihuahua or knows of someone missing one please contact me to identify. We will search for the owner until 1/17/06 and then we will fully vet and place up for adoption. The dog was found near the corner of Walnut St. and Grand Ave in Evansville, IN. Please contact Dirty Paws to identify if you think this may be your dog
