Arrival Story:
We had a Border collie that was 14 years old and had to be put to sleep due to a tumor. He was my boy...and everyone that knew him was heartbroken. We had a very hard time coping with his passing. Wolfie was determined ..no more dogs. Until..we started having dreams about Spotter. Yes, I know that sounds weird but he was a very special dog. I swear, to this day, Spotter was not going to leave it alone until Wolfie changed his mind. We started looking for dogs and no border collies at that time. We decided to take a look at some Aussies. Ruby had her Daddy from hello. First, she wandered of in the barn and got her head stuck in a fence. Daddy had to go help her. Then she decided he'd be really convinced if she sat at his boots...proving she could fool anyone and be the best girl in the world! We decided to think about it before buying her. That night, we both had dreams about Ruby. You think Spotter was telling us she was the one? YES..it's amazing how many of his characteristics she has and yet still her own person.

My Tail of Devotion for Ruby

My mommy has a neat way of showing me how great I am. It is a family tradition because it is really my Uncle Buddy's song. He's a weiner. Anytime his mommy or my mommy sing his song to him, he howls better than most people at Karaoke. I know cuz I went to Karaoke with Grissom on the fourth. Anyway, Uncle Buddy said my mommy could borrow his song with some changes to show me how much she loves me. I don't sing but I look incredibly cute and lick my mommy's face. Here's our song: "Who's the best girl in the world. It's the black Aussie with no tail...It's Ruby, Ruby, Ruby!
