It has taken mom a couple of days to post this entry. You see. I went to rainbow bridge on Saturday, August 8, 2009.

I have had a battle with cancer and mom and dad did not let me continue to struggle. The vet removed a tumor a short while back and after the surgery the cancer continued to run its course through my body and was becoming painful even though I kept up the good fight. We tried some different meds but nothing seemed to work.

Mom came home early on Friday and we had a great evening. She made me a whole roast, just for myself, but I really wasn't that hungry so my little bro and sister helped me eat it. Me, mom, dad and the little ones layed in the yard and watched all of the critters play until almost dark. (turkeys,deer,rabbits, squirrel.)

Saturday morning, mom, dad and I went for my visit with the Vet. See is a great vet and we all just love her. My parents hugged and kissed me until I closed my eyes and felt the pain go away. I am in a great place now and can play with all of my angel pals and even my doggie mommie too.

Thanks soooo much for being my pal and I will play with all the dogster angels and keep an eye on all of you earthly dogsters too.

Love to my pals and their families and all the other dogsters that I have yet to meet.

I have been tagged by the Super Special WA Aussie Posse. Check out their Dogster page. #664379 Great pics and great music.

Here are the rules;
Because it is Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. Each pal needs to tell 7 things they are thankful for. Tagged pals must post the rules in their diary and their 7 things. Then choose 7 pals (I picked 3) to tag and list their names. Let them know with a pawmail or rosette that they have been tagged and to read your diary for the rules.

Seven Things I Am Thankful For:
1-I am thankful for my peeps (mom and dad) and for my little sister Sadie and my little bro Skeeter.
2-I am thankful that I have a home where people love me and I always have plenty to eat and drink.
3-I am thankful that there are rescue organizations and shelters that take care of our furry friends in need.
4-I am thankful that the good Lord has a special place for all of us for when our time here on earth is over.
5-I am thankful for the special people and furry friends here on Dogster.
6-I am thankful for the ASPCA and their never ending job protecting all animals big and small.
7-I am thankful that God has given me the chance to see the wonders of this world.

I have grown really attached to little Sadie Mae. She likes to boss me around and I have to let her. ( She can be pretty scary when she goes into attack mode.) But now mom and dad brought home a little critter that ain't big enough for me to even see in the tall grass. His name is Skeeter. He has decided that he likes to eat out of my dog bowl and its big enough for him to get lost in. I have decided to let him eat so that maybe he will grow up quicker and I guess he is sorta cute.
