A Surgery Adventure

Wow! It's been forever since Chase and I have updated this thing! While a lot of stuff has happened lately, I feel the need to mention one thing- Chase had to undergo surgery several weeks ago. During June, we both went through a traumatic experience when Chase's right eye popped out. Anyone with Pekingese should know that their buggy eyes can be a problem, but I never thought it would happen to us.

So, to make sure it would never happen again, he had surgery that resulted in the vet stitching up the sides of his eyes. This helped his eyes in making them smaller and will prevent anything from happening again.

Chase did amazingly well during the surgery and had no problems or complications. I'm so proud of him for being such a good boy!

Birthday Pup

Guess who's having his second birthday today?

My little boy is growing up so fast!! It seems like just yesterday that Chase was a 5 oz. puppy. Now he's all grown up and becoming a man! And yes. I'm fully aware that nothing screams manly like his nasty skunk toy... :)

A Birthday Adventure

Yesterday was my birthday! Mom explained to me that I'm a year old. I guess that makes me a big boy now! But am I really that old? It seems like this past year went by so quickly!

Either way, I love presents! They make me so happy! I sure do hope I get more sometime soon! That and cake. Mmm!

A Holiday Adventure

Mama keeps telling me about something called 'Christmas'. She says it's coming up soon and that I should be excited. Though, I'm still not really sure what it means. Is this holiday something I can eat? Is it a toy? What are presents? Are they those boxes under the tree? I sure do hope so!!

Everything just seems so confusing. But either way I'm excited. This year is supposedly my first Christmas, too. And what makes it even better is it happens every year!!

I hope it gets here soon! I'm ready to find out what happens!

A Picture Adventure

A few days ago mommy received a funny package in the mail. At first I didn't know what it could be (Though I hoped it was a toy!) and when she opened it up I was even more confused. Inside were rectangular pictures with mommy's face all over them. It was especially weird that I was in them too!!! She kept trying to explain that they were her "School Senior Pictures". Either way, I couldn't help but bark.

I wonder if it has something to do with me going to school with mommy? A few months back I went and sat with her all day. A couple of times we even had our pictures taken. I remember having a lot of fun. Many different people even came up to speak with me. The only problem was that I got real hot.

Maybe one day I can do something like that again!

A 6 Month Adventure

Today I am 6 months old!!! Mama can't believe it!

A Vet Adventure

Early this morning I was taken to the vet by my mommy. I figured it would be like the other times but she soon left me! All the other details are a little foggy..But everyone says that I had something called a surgery. Or as my family puts it- "I was fixed".

Mommy says that she was worried sick the whole time I was gone. That she even cried for me! I'm glad I can be home and with her again!

Right now I'm very tired. A nap sounds good..

A PetsMart Adventure

Today mommy took me shopping! We went to a place called PetsMart and it was so big! At first I was nervous about going but soon became comfortable. There were so many interesting things there..Things I had never seen before! There were small animals with wings and funny objects that floated in water! Of course I was brave and tried to sniff them all!! However mom kept me protected and didn't let me play for long. The best part of the whole trip was the toy aisle. I had never seen so many things in one place before (Other then at my house)!! Everything squeaked! I picked out two stuffed animals that I love!!!

Before we left mama picked out a collar and an outfit for me. It's not comfortable wearing them..Though she says I'll get used to it. I guess we'll have to see!
